For starters, it's just Hulk. Second, it introduces Bruce Banner and the Hulk which The Incredible Hulk doesn't do, and both movies lead equally well into the Avengers.Ieyke said:That movie('The Hulk) is not part of the MCU.Olas said:I would just watch them in order of release, that's how they were designed to be watched.
Personally I'd start with the 2003 Hulk movie, despite what people will tell you it's not that bad, much better than the Incredible Hulk if you ask me, which you can basically skip as it doesn't add anything to Bruce Banner's character development.
'The Incredible Hulk' half avoids invalidating 'The Hulk', so it's not impossible to kinda squint and see it as part of the MCU, but why would you?
It's also pretty obvious the Incredible Hulk is meant to be a sequel to Hulk, even if it technically isn't considered part of the same canon. Hulk ends with Bruce Banner having fled to South America, The Incredible Hulk begins with Bruce Banner hiding out in South America.
The Incredible Hulk was okay. It didn't have an amazing story or great action though the way Hulk did. Hulk is brilliant at times, and simultaneously very flawed, but I think that makes it more interesting to watch than a merely adequate blockbuster action movie.'The Hulk' was TERRIBLE.
'The Incredible Hulk' is pretty good. Better and better every time you watch it, in fact.
