I was only looking...

I was walking down the street to get some milk from the corner store, and as I was walking there, I saw a very pretty lady awlking towards me. In addition to being very pretty, she was also wearing clothing that...shall was say...seemed to be SPECIFICALLY designed to show things off and cause people to glance at what its showing off by drawing attention to those areas as well. Needless to say, I started looking at her breasts that seemed to be elegantly put on display for the public (after looking at her face of course, my eyes don't go straight for the knockers >.>). She obviously caught me looking, and when she walked next to me she looked at me with an angry look stuck on her face and practically yelled "PERVERT!"

Before all of you agree with her saying that I was only looking at her breasts, let me tell you that the woman had semi-short black hair that was dyed (a rather nice shade) of brown (I could see the black hair emerging from her scalp), light brown eyes, black eyeliner and blue eye shadow, and lip gloss on. So yes, I did look at her face (for a considerable amount of time, i might add).

So how am I the one thats perverted enough to get that sort of treatment? I know she saw me looking at her face because we locked eyes at one point. I wasn't looking at something she was obviously trying to hide. I wasn't touching them nor did i make any gestures that implied that I was going to. I was simply looking at something that SHE put on display.

I'll admit that I was a tad perverted for even looking, but honestly, what was she expecting? She puts her breasts on display like their fucking Mona and Lisa, and she thinks people won't look?

Do women have a right to do things like this? Is it ok for them to be able to wear whatever they want as well as being able to not expect people to look at them or treat them certain ways just because they shouldn't be look at "that way"? Is that an acceptable double standard?

EDIT: I should have clarified this, don't know why I didn't. I wasn't actually "staring," but it couldn't be called "glancing" either. I was looking and was more in awe, but a few seconds after i was looking was when she was right next to me, so I guess the definition of "staring" and "glancing" at this point could be left up to each person (a definition i don't care to look into atm).

Question.

Were you staring, or just glancing?

I think that dressing in a certain way does invite these sort of situations, but some women aren't aware of that (some, not all). You've just got to learn to be subtle about it =D

...

You really are the king of threads about stuff you do that bring up questions, aren't you?

And the way you describe her, she sounds somewhat... Trampy, to put it bluntly.

Well, she shouldn't put everthing on display. she probably did it specifically so she could have a go at someone.

Still, not a problem I ever face, being Asexual/Anti-sexual.

I know what you mean, At the end of the day if they put them on show, They cant ***** if you look.

STARING is a different matter.

But putting them on show is and then bitching if they see you glancing is annoying though.

it really depends on the person I guess. One of my friend likes getting looked at by strangers and whatnot... but it does seem slightly odd, yeah.

Wear sunglasses, problem solved... the only problem is your only chance will be looking if you walk around in sunglasses in winter.
problem 1: solved, i live in california, sunshineyhappyville!

but this leads to problem 2: i have poor eyesight (i actually was wearing sunglasses), so i usually end up turning my head whenever i go to look at something =(

I've managed to offend/creep out women in the past by NOT look at their boobs when I talk to them :)

I'd say it depends on how long and obivous you starring was. I can see the reasoning behind both sides of the sides of the "she shouldn't dress for attention she doesn't want"/"he shouldn't be such a letchy bastard" argument, and I think a bit of common sense and moderation are needed from both sides.

Revealing clothes annoy me just as much as the people that wear them. If you are planning on wearing something that is going to near-expose your privates then either:

a) go completely naked

b) cover the fuck up

Don't go with something that will draw attention to yourself while trying to have the audacity to claim "conservative fashion choice". People who wear exposing garments have to know it will bring wanted and unwanted attention. If they can't deal with the filtering process then they should do society a favor and make up their goddamn minds about why they wear clothes in the first place.

This indecisive, half-naked tomfoolery is going to be the death of me. God I hate modern society at times!

I find it rather hypocritical to wear clothing like that and then be offended when people look. It's the same kind of thing with curtains. As Dara O'Briain said, "Put up some curtains, otherwise I'm lookin' into your feckin' house."

Alright, and it is pretty hypocritical when I made, oh, 5 threads in one day.

But I agree, you have a point. But this girl sounds bat-shit crazy, the way she dresses and yells "Pervert" in public. And not like there was any touching, people would have to be idiots to think you were a pervert for checking a girl in tight clothes out.
