Arthur C. Clarke is good.
Me, my voice is like David Sedaris, tone is similar to Anne Tyler, syntax similar to Michael Chabon and thematically I'm Virginia Woolf.
I don't mean to name drop. I actually think this is a really interesting question and am trying to figure out what my style is in this spectrum.
Thanks, Escapist!

For both different parts of my book report, it said I write like Stephan King.
Something in Hebrew gave me Douglas Adams.

You should have heard what was going on in IRC for that site. Someone kept copy & pasting the same word over and over, can't remember who it said they wrote like, though...
I put in a post on the topic Ask an Objectivist where I proposed an experiment, and it said I wrote like Stephen King.

And I just put in: So I was walking down the street the other day, when I saw an evil bossdog.

I got Arthur Conan Doyle from that! XD

Charles Dickens, apparently. All I can say is "wow". That totally improves my self esteem, even if it is just a silly little analyzer.

I stuck in a short story I wrote for a characterization project in English 12, and apparently I write like James Joyce.

Edit: Although this post was apparently written like Kurt Vonnegut.

I put in a bunch of articles I've written over the last couple of months. I got H.P. Lovecraft three times, David Foster Wallace twice, and Chuck Palahniuk and Arthur C. Clarke once each.

I ran a chapter of my novle through this thing and it says I write like Dan Brown... I feel somewhat insulted and happy about it.

I used a story I wrote involving the ghost of Edgar Allan Poe, and it says it was written like Edgar Allan Poe.

Weird. Think it's just a coincidence though. (Mainly because it also said I wrote a different story like Dan Brown, and I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT!)

Apparently my brief decription of myself and a bit of ranting on how Pikachu is overrated means that I write like Cory Doctorow.

I DON'T KNOW WHO THAT IS. Although I do like where he stands on copyright laws...

Also, the above text was written like him, as well... Huh.

*EDIT* Nonsense and random keyboard pounding constitutes Mark Twain, as well. Cool. And Homsar speaks like Chuck Palahniuk writes.

I made something up on the spot, and I apparently write like George Orwell, something I'm somewhat pleased with. But that's the thing with these kinds of sites, if we're given something positive we believe in it, but something negative and we call it bullshit. Also note, I took a few paragraphs from Stephen King's book cell, and it said stephen king, so it might be slightly accurate.
