"Ico and Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection"Comes out Tommorow. Who's getting it?

I'm getting my copy on Friday, i never got around to playing the originals so i'm looking forward to it.

Ico is, Escort Mission: The Game.
I only lasted 30 min with the PS2 original before I drove back to Blockbuster and dropped it off.

And you're proud of that? 30 minutes barely even gives you enough time to find Yorda, let alone solve any of the puzzles or fight to defend her. You probably should have put some more effort into it before declaring it awful. Plus, the game isn't even that hard.

I imagine that people who struggle with ICO would have more to worry about their own skills then the quality of the game.

I'm pretty sure he didn't say that he was proud of it or that he found it too hard. You're arguing against something that isn't there.

Anyway, yes, they release on the 30th here in Europe-land but I will be picking both of these up surely. I've heard great many things about them, and I'm sure they're worth the look.

Probably be picking up Shadow of the Colossus as soon as I can put aside the cash for it. I missed it first time round, this should be epic!

Are they available on PC? No? Not me then.

Most of the best games aren't for the PC.

And when they are, it's often an inferior port of a console title. You're limiting yourself quite severely by saying no to titles that aren't for Windows.

Well, I have other games and things to buy first. But this will certainly be on my to do list. Ico and Shadow are quite established and deserving classics. If anything, they're some of the most aesthetically gorgeous games of all time. On the negative, I will admit, it's kind of shoddy how Ico is basically just another "carry around/save a helpless girl" game. Between games like this, and Spelunky, and of course even Super Mario, most games are sending horrible messages about women as a whole.

We need more games that paint women in a strong and respectable light, like Super Metroid. And less games like Ico. Even if Ico is a gorgeous instant classic.

I have to wait until friday before I can get this. I can't remember the last time I was so hyped for a game. Most definitely getting it on release date, since I've been waiting for this FOREVER. What the fuck took them so goddamn long?

I've played Shadow of the Colossus numerous times, yet I have never had the chance to play Ico. When I do eventually get it, that'll be the first of the two I'll play.

Well if it's any Consolation, My laptop doesn't get fixed till Thursday so no Let's Plays until then. But I did manage to Grind my ass off in Missions 1,2 and 3 in DMC3 so as to have enough money to get what I need for the upcoming missions.

It is very much so. I think the desire to finish SotC should be enough and considering ICO was such a wondrous adventure game then yes it's worth it.

Trust me the last 2 Colossus are by far some of the most EPIC. Especially the 15th. Dear God that one actually made me think!

Indeed. I'm getting it because I can't find a copy of Ico anywhere, but I managed to find Shadow of the Colossus and Shinobi in the Bargain bin.

Me. I waited until reviews showed up, to make sure they didn't completely screw them up somehow, then pre-ordered. Importing will take a few days though, so I've still got a little bit of a wait.

Should be good though... I've never played either game.

If I had a PS3, totally. I remember renting SOTC not knowing how rare it was, and really enjoying it. Damn water colossus.

It was whenever Wanderer killed a Colossus, black shadows would emerge from its dead body and then shoot into Wanderers body from many orifices or through his torso.
