How about we start at towns with more then 10 goddamn people in them? If I walk into a city, I should feel like I'm in a city, not a Hutterite convention. Even just 1000 or so would do, because hey, post-apocalypse right? I'm not asking for Tokyo here, just enough for me to get lost in the experience.

Question
Does Fallout always have to be in America?

I dislike the fallout series. 3 sucked because the shooting was clunky and awkward. The AI was accurate as hell and I often got caught out in the middle of nowhere and got shot to pieces, whilst I tried to melle them, cos I had no bullets in the first place.

Why not base a fallout game somewhere new? I understand that developed area's will all look very similar in a post apocalypse situation. But Russia or India would look different they have based all of them so far as I know in a America why not mix it up a bit?
All of the back lore is about America, as far as we know bombs fell everywhere else, but they didn't have vault-tech so no one else would have survivors, at least not enough non-ghoul survivors to establish a society
Oh that sucks
Thanks for the info anyway :)

I know some Russians froze in a ice lolly factory, got frozen in a cryogenic state and woke up after the fallout when the temperature spiked. Problem solved now make Fallout Moscow Bethesda, make it now. And less of the shit controls and eagle eyed AI please..thankyou

More diverse weapons, and I mean, BORDERLANDS STYLE DIVERSE
every weapon should be unique, one time, shotgun with 29 DAM, next shotgun with 35 DAM and fire element.

They should have vehicles (Tactics had them after all).

They should have more realistic settlements like in the originals with irrigated crops on farms and wells for water.
Well, that was kind of what the NCR had in New Vegas, with their large irrigated farming land.

And I agree with the vehciles, but only under the condition that they take out fast-travel, and make it difficult to aquire later vehicles (I don't want to be able to just stumble into a Vertibird straight away).

I also think that the next Fallout should have an ending you can play after. It was annoying in New Vegas, and was annoying in Fallout 3 (minus the DLC).

P.S. I think the game is going to be based in Massachusetts (New England Commonwealth) with the Institute and androids playing a large role in the game's decisions.

Ok, no one shout there head off at me, but what if they did a fallout london game after fallout 4 like they did new vegas after fallout 3. The thing is if you look on the fallout wiki before the great war, there was a smaller war between europe and the middle east. This only resulted in a couple of nukes getting fired. This meaning alot of places in london would be alright after about 200 years. There would be a set of the prime minister and is aids, and vaults for importan people under downing street. The beefeaters of the tower of london hid themselfs in with the crown jewls, meaning they where defended. People rushed down to the basement of the british museum, where the stone is so thick it would have defended them. Also there is the underground which would have shielded people. You start out as a squad of men who get ambushed by a set of men in power armor(they are really the enclave remnants fleeing the US lookig for more power and finding out about something secret), (power armor which is hardly seen in england, only the private guards of the prime minister had it) Your guys are killed and you get shot by some experimental mini nuke, which after wards you wake up in the Hostpital of the London Empire,(the remnants of the primeminister found the survivors in british museum) it turns out that you have been goulified by this weapon. You then set out to find out about more about who you where before(part of a deniable op squad sent by the primeminister, to find their emergency stock of actual nukes under london, which is what the enclave are looking for) You can go out, join the enclave, the London empire, the beefers(beef eaters who made thier own independant state int the ruins of the tower of london, but allied with the empire) or the Royals( a set of raiders who now inhabit buckingham palace). Though due to so few nukes lots of information would reamin from before the war, finding out more about the culutre, and the with the hidden nukes find out who fired the missels first, therefore starting the great war. Also using like collapseable bikes, not motor bikes that you can use to travel london.

Maybe only for use when having light armor, a more menovarable option then the heavy rare power armor. Also it gets rid of needing fuel as you only need your own body for a bike

I want it to be less brown. Seriously, I got turned off the game after playing it for a few hours, because there were two colours. Brown, and grimy green. Bleh. I want something that looks like this:

While I love the whole ruined Americana feel of the Fallout games, I reckon it would be really cool if they set one in a sort of teddy-boy '50s London. Decrepit Union Flags hung in grimy windows, the shattered face of Big Ben dominating the horizon, fighting gangs of teddy-boys in streets marred with the burnt-out shells of nuclear-powered double-decker buses and black cabs, the authoritarian remains of the British royal family to deal with (possibly in-bred after so many years to the point of hilarity).

As for American settings, I think they should expand on what they shot for in Point Lookout and go with j-e-f-f-e-r-s' idea.

What would I like to see? A Fallout game set in Louisiana. Fallout: New Orleans, or something like that. The setting has everything you would need to make a new Fallout game that has enough of the old games to be recognisable, but enough new stuff to actually feel original and fresh.

Oddly enough we know absolutely nothing about the New York of the fallout universe. Honestly I think it would be very cool to have a game set there in there. Imagine the fallout Manhattan each skyscraper would be home to a different tribe or group. A fallout new york game has a lot of potential.

We do know that New York had a power draw enough to force a problem with its nuclear reactor. Turns out it had an over population problem (17 million) that was enough to send its nuclear reactor to go super critical, but no actual meltdown occurred.

It was mentioned in the fallout bible 0.
Yes and that is literally it. No mention on what it looks like after the bombs fell therefore they literally have a blank page on what to do with New York and therefore almost limitless possibilities.

I can't wait to jump from loadscreen to loadscreen.

I still think that the Commonwealth is a much more likely place for the game to be set, it already has some background mentioned (Fallout 3, android quest), and has thus-far not been explored in any game.

I think the commonwealth would a be a cool dlc area for the New York game, I don't think you would be able to pull a full games worth out of the commonwealth however.

Ideas?
Make the brotherhood of steel in a tense situation, infighting, so to say.
Have 3 diffirent groups,
The outcasts, fighting to restore the brotherhood to it's formal self
The regulars, fighting to help others, but also remaining close to what the brotherhood was before. Not recruting civilians, still hoarding technology, ect.
and the second extream, fighting souly for others, relying on cruddier technology, but being heavier in number, recruiting wastelanders, sharing technology with the populous, ect.
Have the player either join one, over take them all into one group's views, or restore them all together temporarly to help the player's need.

Have some really cool all out assault parts, where the player's allies join up to spear head a the antigonist group, or let the player avoid it all together by joining the antigonist and fighting against some of the would be allies.

Make skyrim like civil war quest, but make it longer, have assaults on settlements, have defending settlements, and not just running from fort to fort and kill a few stormcloaks/imperials.

EDIT: already saw this on hear, but vehicles.

It's quite a large place, the same could have probably be said about the Mojave.

It was mentioned quite a bit in Fallout 3 unlike New York, giving the player some background, so I think its far more likely.
