*Sigh* I still only have two hats (Not counting Bill's Beret). And one I got from smelting!

Damn it all.
Hah, people really get into hats in this game, don't they? When I found a hat for the medic, I other people in that match were actually jealous of me, to the point of "I'm not going to talk to you anymore" (jokingly, of course).

Do people really take them this seriously?
From what I understand, yes. When Valve first released the unique Halo hat for those who didn't cheat their way into getting hats and items, there were people who refused to help those who weren't wearing a halo. Didn't matter that there were those who didn't want to wear the halo they received, everyone who didn't have a halo on view were snubbed.

Lovely, eh?
Indeed. I'm glad I wasn't playing at that time.

So now I actually have a chance at getting a brainslug for my Pyro? Thank you, TF2 team. Now just get a class update out that doesn't have immediate balance issues, and all is forgiven.

Nice. Maybe now I can play for a few hours and actually get some drops.

Well, I see Valve has addressed a problem with it's game. it's nice to see them actually trying to improve a game over time but the fact that they created this problem raises the question of if adding new stuff really helps a game when it also introduces a whole new host of problems.

Still, anyone complaining about not having items is acting silly and immature and is an ass by my reckoning and I don't care about asses.

Last week I played a few hours.

Got three weapons in that time(two Natascha and a Blutsauger) that I already had. I would have liked to see a slight increase in drop chance for the class weapons you don't already have, or at least a way to improve the chance of getting a specific type(e.g. select "weapons" to only find weapons, a specific class to only find class items but slightly rarer or "hats" to find only hats but at roughly the same rate you would normally get a hat).

It would have been nice if they added more milestones for the new weapons, I still don't have the homewrecker, and even though it's more or less useless, I'm a completist when it comes to weapons...

NICE! Now I'll finally get an item!

It's been about 5 months since I've found anything new, my luck is awful.

Good. I've not idled before so this is a net-gain for me.
Same here, but I play TF2 so much yet have not picked up a single hat :(
I managed to get a Ghastly Gibus by dominating some guys, and found the Scotsman's Stovepipe on my own, but that's it :(

Doesn't bother me and my 18 hats.

I've had disturbingly good luck this year... with drops in TF2.
Never found a hat till January 2nd 2010, then they just kept coming.

I did try idling for 2 weeks, but only while I was at school or asleep.
And I only found 1 hat while idling, one that I predicted....

You could always.... you know... do the achievements for the weapons.

Or are you talking about the homewrecker and pain train?
I suck horribly at soldier, scout and demoman(only have that 2-shot shotgun for the scout) and I don't have the friend list required to get any achievements that require friends(most of the medic achievements).

I managed to do the Spy and Sniper achievements in some random server during some vacation at around 4am with a few others that also wanted the items. In a way, the Spy/Sniper achievements were the best balanced ones in the game since they were somewhat difficult but they depended on skill and not dumb luck(like two unassisted crit rockets) or a stupid amount of time(1 million damage/healing).

Good. Now my Steam friends will stop complaining about not getting anything cool while idling.
