Played it and hated it, and I much prefer games like Resistance, Fall of Man, Resistance 2 and Killzone 2. An influence for me buying the PS3 was because of Resistance 1 and 2, and the fact that I didnt enjoy Halo at all is what swayed it for me...

me i would buy because of the theathar mode and forge which i just love being able to watch how u died or killed from any angle!

Hahahahaha that's a good one. Sadly, Killzone 2 is no more a Halo 3 killer than Killzone 1 was the Halo Killer it was touted as back in the day. I really wish it had been, but it ain't.

That said, both systems have a Halo 3 killer. COD4

Killzone 2 has better A.I.
Killzone 2 has better graphics.
Killzone 2 has better audio (7.1)
Killzone 2 has better gameplay (Cover system, no back tracking)

As for the storyline, Killzone 2 is more realistic, but that doesn't make it better, just makes it more realistic.

Killzone 2 easily is a Halo 3 beater as it does much more for the genre considering their relative release dates. Having played both when they were first released, I was genuinly dissapointed with Halo 3, whereas Killzone 2 gives the genre a much higher benchmark to aim for.

Yeah Killzone 2 has a more realistic story...Just like Star Wars is totally realistic...Just cause Killzone is WW2 in space doesnt mean it makes it realistic. If you said Killzone 2 had a better storyline okay fine, but realistic? Hmmm...

Killzone has the Helghast. "They are a faction of human descendants who colonized the planet Helghan many generations ago. The planet's harsh environment forced the Helghast to adapt and mutate. Except for a small number of half-breed Helghast and trained troopers, they require a gas mask and air processing tank that creates air similar to that found on the planet Helghan."
They hate the rule of the ISA, so attacked them and failed (Killzone 1), now the ISA are taking the war to Helghan to finish it.
Yeah because that's such a weird crazy reality with telepathy and telekinesis...
Space colonisation. Adaptation. Colonial wars. These are crazy, unrealistic concepts that will never happen how?

Wait wait..Doesnt Star Wars tell the tale of Good versus Evil. A faction trying to overtrown an evil goverment, to gain freedom?


Freedom fighting. Evil Goverments. And politic ideals. These are crazy, unrealistic concepts that will never happen now?

Just cause Killzone doesnt have Aliens doesnt make it realistic. Its still in deep space. So its Sci-Fi! Just like Halo! And Half Life, Star Wars, Star Trek, Terminator, Stargate, War of the Worlds, Jurassic Park etc etc etc.

True, in that Both are you average FPS; Killzone probably has an advantage in that the ps3's better processor means that games like kilzone 2 (also resistance 2) have more complex AI's which allow for more enemies to be in battle simultaneously than say, Halo 3, which makes KZ2 and R2 feel more war-like as opposed to Halo 3's more covert style gameplay. Also killzone 2 has 32 player online, as opposed to halo 3's 16 player

You said that a story involving Space wars is realistic.

Band of Brothers is realistic cause its based in real facts.

Killzone is a Sci-Fi story which brings inspirations from colonial Wars and WW2, but in space. Is space wars real these days? Dont call it realistic call it a good Sci-Fi story. Which what it is a Science fiction story cause its fiction based on current or future speculations of technology and science.
