depends? who is left alive? who is the majority? but i would go to my local shaws (giant food place) and stockpile food at some fortress, also i would stockpile guns, and anything that is fun, then find other survivors, hopefully a female...

Depends on what the authorities do.
I'd probably help them keep order. We'd need militia against forming raiding gangs, volunteers for humanitarian services and medical tasks, workers to re-establish electricity/water...
There'd be plenty to do for everybody!
