If music played over your life like a film, who would you get to compose it?

Stig Baasvik + Adrian Younge, collaborating at last to make the perfectly self-aware soundtrack of life.

I would have John Murphy, he did the fantastic 'In the House, in a Heartbeat from 28 Days Later and the music from the great 'Take Cover Child' scene from Kick-Ass.

Also the Stones, totally forgot about them.

Bach, no need to explain.
That or Andrew Lloyd Webber, my life would be so camp and awesome.

John Williams. I mean, just look at all the movies he's composed for: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Williams#Notable_compositions
Any of these. Possibly James L. Hosay, but I don't know if he writes for movies. I just love the man's work, having debuted a couple of pieces by him in my lifetime, I think it would be cool.

While I would enjoy it if Murray Gold would be the composer, I think my live would be more suited to elevator music.

Nobou Uematsu, the man responsible for all the Final Fantasy soundtracks through XI (all of which include some of the best music ever recorded in anything ever).

Alternatively, Within Temptation. Because their music is epic.

Maybe getting Harry Gregson Williams, Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Ennio Morricone, Yoko Kanno, Shoji Meguro, and Masafumi Takada in place, somehow getting them to cooperate, and creating a soundtrack filled with way too much awesome.

It would have to be Disturbed. Most of the time, it would be their track Prayer blasting away. Rest of the time, I think Chris Mansell's Requiem for a Dream would fit nicely.

Some by Hans Zimmer and some by Harry Gregson-Williams.
I don't know if you actually are aware of that but you just put together the two guys who made the music to my favorite movie ever. That's awesome.

OT: Eh, Hans Zimmer. I could be epic and kickass even while doing mundane stuff.
That movie would be?

Whatever it is, I have the feeling that I'd enjoy the soundtrack.
That movie would be The Rock. Yes, the one by Michael Bay.
The soundtrack there is near-perfection.

Either Frank Klepacki, Jack Wall, or Vangelis. I cannot get them out of my head!

Even Philip Glass would be acceptable

Hans Zimmer's or Danny Elfman's styles just don't fit my day-to-day schedule. I'd have to take up some pretty extreme sports or sneaking around at night just to live up to my soundtrack.

Hans Zimmer. He's already created incredible soundtracks to great movies, so I'd want him composing mine.

Ninja'd on this, but Yoko Kanno. Her music for Cowboy Bebop, Wolf's Rain, and Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex is so evocative and emotional. I'm head over heels in love with it all.

Tsuneo Imahori also gets an honorary mention, because not only did he do trumpet solos for the Wolf's Rain soundtrack, but he did the music for Trigun. Some of those tracks are amazing.
