Seeing as how everyone else is raising most of my favorite artists, I'm going to mention this modern musical poet...
If Harrison were still alive, I'd have gone for Lennon to see the Beatles play. Since that isn't an option, I'd go for Freddie Mercury.

Part of me wants Cobain back, but since he killed himself I don't think it'd be right to bring him back. So for that reason, I'm going with the original Skynyrd, I just want them to play Simple Man one time before they go back to being dead again.
As awesome as John Lennon is, it'd have to be without a doubt Johann Sebastian Bach.
I mean fuck guys, you're all picking musicians who were around during the recording era, we can still hear the if we want to. And quite frankly, pop musicians who just are not as impressive as those old classical motherfuckers.
Take a listen to the genius of Bach's music, music that defined the tonal system as we know it. And now realize that in Bach's time, he was remembered more for his skill as a PERFORMER than as a composer. Think about that for a second. I mean, they say the man could IMPROVISE FUGUES, which is just disgustingly insanely awesome.

If I could get both John Lennon AND George Harrison, then I'm going with them so we can try for a half zombie beatles reunion. But if I can only choose one, then I have to say Eartha Kitt. I only recently learned that she was even dead and she is by far my favorite female singer, plus when she was younger she was seriously hot.
