Furries, that and mind control devices ^_^
I would have voted for Furries, but it was either that or Asari...I love furries as much as the next guy, but Asari wins by just a fraction...

It's the biotics... They just pwn!
They do at that, but I prefer a little variety in my personal harem of submissive slave girls, plus a biotic would likly make my head asplode for my dirty mind.
Hmm... That's a good point. I mean, after a while Asari would become kinda commonplace... But with Furries theirs so much variety!

Slave girls, eh? Hmm... I like the way you think...

beat me to it.

so I'll go with the Bable fish from hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, because all of our varying languages on earth just cause more problems than good.

Furries would be interesting, but I think Mosnter Hunter beasts would be great as well. I'd love a pet Rathian (motherly instincts means she doesn't eat me and keeps other things from eating me) or a Kirin.

Hell, I was gonna say stable, inexpensive cold fusion, so...

Uh, Virtual and Artificial intelligence a la Mass Effect, I guess.

This is a Pickle... Hmm one thing... Teleporters. They don't even have to be "Teleport anywhere" kind. A Phone Booth type device that transported you to another booth would be fine.

Other than that just magic, straight up.
yes absolutely nothing could go wrong from furries being real......oh god I've been mauled! Q_Q

OP: Futanari, that is all you need to know >.>
I don't think people have really thought through what would happen if Furries (or particularly Pokemon) really existed. I mean I have problems with Rabbits as it is and I don't want ones with hands that can open my gate and eat all my lettuce (or break into my house and clean out the vegetable crisper).

And I PARTICULARLY don't want to be accosted by Fire breathing wolves when I go for a walk in the woods.

Also will I regret Googling Futanari? This has happened in the past, and I now fear looking up strange Japanese sounding words that people post on these threads.

It is fun because that one is possible. We just have to go to the moon and get some fusionable material!

ever seen reign of fire (or something like that)? that could (and probably would) go horribly wrong if we had dragons.
as for me, i wish God were real (Nah just kidding)

but really i think i would just kinda want our timeline to go by way of mass effect since that would be soo awesome, but before then i would want perfected cryogenic tech so i can freeze myself and see it all.

so short version is i agree with the original post

Cybernetic replacements or at least upgrades to parts of the body that are failing. Not just pace makers and joints or plates, but muscle tissue and vital organs that may be damaged or failing from disease.

Gangrene ate away your foot? Forget about crutches or stiff prosthetics. Connect a foot-shaped piece of technology with individual digits that can move like the real thing used to. Got Kidney failure? Rather than being hooked up to a machine that filters your blood for an hour every week (or day, depending on the circumstances) plug a mini-filter system in that can go with the person and work as the real kidneys did without sticking out like a microwave duck taped to their back.

Of course this would imply that there's the medical advances to actually implement these things.
