There are only 14 privately owned mini-guns in the US and they cost upwards of $20,000 to get the ammo to fire one for any real length of time. Good luck with that one.

I would take the wood stock and the hunting barrel off my trusty Mossburg 500 12ga shotgun and add put a pistol grip, and shorter barrel without a choke on. I already have the stuff cause I like to fire off slugs every now and again. So many better guns but I seem to always go back to that one, the first shotty I ever got.

I remember impactguns.com was selling a first-production run minigun for $400,000. And at 300 rounds a minute, thats probably more than $20,000 to fire, especially for a noob in an apocalypse who doesn't think to aim first.

I would bring:
1. My weapons. I don't have any guns, but I do have some throwing knives. and my swords.
2. My familiy's SUV with a bike attached to the top. just in case.
3. Plenty of food and water.
4. My survival gear ( I have quite a lot of stuff, more than enough).
5.cell phone and charger.

Looting houses I come across all the while, and traveling to my almost-but-not-quite local gun store. I'd try to pick up a larger vehicle, to pick up any survivors.
