Some people have speculated that they would have evolved into humanoids - dinosaur people, basically

To think what may have come to pass...

That was a "dinosauroid" thought up by a guy named Dale Russell, but it looks suspiciously human. He seems to be under the impression that not only is there an apex of evolution, but apparently our forms are it!
Of course, the guy's talking bollocks - if there was dinosaur that evolved to the point where it was a dominant species on present day earth, it would still have a basic theropod shape.

It would have been so awesome if they hadnt died out. I could have my pet raptor and i would drive a t-rex.
We also could find out what they taste like. I always wanted to try dino meat
As is, i think the current theory is that some evolved into birds.

You mean besides geeks today being incredibly happy? We'd probably use them as tanks for a while, just to see how it goes. But when the first one is hit by a heatseeker, the animal rights people would go crazy. It is at that point that I would want to unleash the raptors on them, and see how they feel about treating the creatures then.
