I want a game like Ultima 7, truly freeroam.
But, and here's the catch... Totally 2d and handheld.
I want a game designed like Pokemon, but with the TONS of extra's from the bygone days of limitless possibility in Dungeons and Dragons style games.
I want dozens of classes, a good battling system, several ways to handle a situation, tons of useless items (Tables, nightstands, carpets, lamps, candles, etc) as well as usable (Weapons, armor, etc), I want to be able to start a shop/ rob a shop/ work for a shop, I want to be able to become king/ bandit leader/ a hermit, I want dozens of quests, I want...
I'm starting to sound like a whiny kid on Christmas, so you get the idea.
And don't tell me it can't be done. I've played three games that have come close, but on PC and still limited in scope.
I want a handheld RPG made with this design. It can be done. So why hasn't it?
This, my fellow escapists, has been my dream game.
I wish to sit upon my toilet or bus seat and say, 'I have just become king, killed a troll, and opened a shop'! Also... No ASII games. Haha. < Pet peeve right there.

Second, I'd make a Firefly MMORPG.
Oh-ho-ho! Ouch.
Why ouch? I think it could be done well.
That's why I said ouch. It was like you were taking a shot at Fox.

I wonder though... would it have played like Star Wars: Galaxies? Mainly a free class system, choosing either Equal Opportunity Mercenary, Alliance or Rebellion and the game play could basically be something of EVE Online for space, possibly Tabula Rasa for ground combat - Tabula Rasa had great combat, just nothing for it - and Star Wars: Galaxies had the best maps for planets, where you could create whole cities and defend them, even explore the whole thing by actually traveling in a straight line and never hit an invisible wall. Plenty of room, plenty of stuff to find. Maybe even incorporate some things from Jump to Lightspeed such as decorating your ship or the controls, maybe even warping. Choosing a crew would be an interesting feature.

But there I go again, putting my hopes up.
Yeah, that all would be good. Also, large, plot related battles. Like you could be on the Alliance's side, hired by them, against them, hired by their foes or just taking a side and fight huge battles, like perhaps a large one done by a new group of Browncoats attacking the Academy led by the crew of the Serenity where you all fight in a huge battle with other players to take the Academy down or protect it, depending on your side.
That would be truly something worthy of an epic. Then when the Browncoats take it, the Alliance can set up a plan to take it back?

Sure. Also, you'd have to deal with the insane psychics. You could have a few choices: Kill them all (note: This would cause River to freak and go on a Sword and Axe Rampage, which may kill you all), help them (a danger to you all, but it would, in the end, yield alot of people as badass as River), or ignore them (doom to you all, as they would all be hostile).
How do we know they didn't kill them all already, due to River? But it is an awesome idea... and I doubt they would have wasted all of that funding and instead would have done everything to keep the psychics under their thumb. This would be perfect for tactical combat, the likes of which haven't been seen yet on any massively multiplayer online game. People would - by a large majority or comparison - be working together instead of on their own or against.

Well, together against each other. Also, like you said, they wouldn't waste the cash on them only to kill them due to one escaped psychic.
Such a shame though that we may never see it come to be... probably because it may come off as too ambitious. And a shame the actual Firefly MMO was put in such terrible hands.
