If/when you get a kid, will you introduce him/her to gaming?

Would you go light with your kid and wait for a bit until it's older, like 7-8 and then give him/her a gameboy? Or would you directly show them your 360 and let them pwn others on halo?
Or maybe a bit of both, or maybe nothing at all.
How would you do?

In the unlikely event of me spawning an anti-christ of my own, I would let them play games if they showed an interest. I would wait until they are mature enough for the older ones (behaviour-wise, not age).

I would introduce him/her to the good stuff. Not as a "go sit in your room and play this machine so I don't have to hear you" thing, but as a family activity we can all enjoy.

I will never have kids unless I grow a heart or human emotions other than anger and lust or whatever, but I would introduce them to gaming early on, but try to shield them from bad games and try to prevent them from becoming one of those stupid gamers. You know what I mean. I can't think of the right words right now.

As soon as I think they can handle it, I'll introduce them to it. If they enjoy it, I'll let them play. If they don't, I won't push it.

I AM keeping my Wii, just for that very purpose, though...

I'd introduce them to it, not make them like it. It's their life, I won't make them do anything, unless it's good for them.

I'd let them play games if they wanted to. I'd start them out by letting them watch me as my Father did when I was a mere infant and see if they gain an interest.

Though might encourage them to read a little more than game. Than I'd probably buy them a DS or whatever equivilent we have 20 years from now if they liked it.

Sure I would, video games are great! I would control how much they play at a young age however, I hate 6 yr and younger kids that play a lot of games, they should be outside playing or drawing pictures or something!

only if they want to. And if they like ballet, i'd support them in that too.
They can dance if they want to?

Back on topic, I'm not going to hide the fact that I play video games. I am a gamer and a collector, so there's no way I can hide that. If they're interested, they'll be allowed to play. But if they save over any of my game saves, there's an ass-whoopin' to be had.

Ummm...

I'd probably buy them a console for their 5th birthday or something, they can take it or leave it but they SURE AS HELL AIN'T GONNA IGNORE IT!
