If/when you get a kid, will you introduce him/her to gaming?

Well, instead of whispering Allah in my newborn kids ear I would whisper Half-Life. That must make wonders.

I'd put a football, and a bike on his left and a 360 (or equilivant depending on when this happens) connected to a 1080p HD TV and the best games out on his right and see what happens.

IT'S SCIENTIFIC!!!

I'd definitely try and get my son (and don't give me the 'daughter option', it won't happen ;P ) excited about video games, provided there will be any good consoles with decent games a the time I deem him old enough for playing... but if it's not his particular cup of tea, I sure as hell won't MAKE him play them. Aside from doing his work and chores the lad should enjoy himself, and whatever floats his boat is fine with me (so long as it's not crack, whores and guns ^^).

I'd introduce my children to all the things I do, like hunting, fishing, photography, scuba diving, hiking, camping, collecting fossils and rocks and of course gaming (there's lots more, but I've got work in the morning and it's late Norway-time), but I'd let them decide themselves what they'd like to pursue. I'd probably keep them off the whole single malt whiskey connoisseur thing till they were a bit older though. I will however try to condition them to have good taste in music and films, and take interest in science.

I'd be unlikely to introduce my kids to gaming, mostly because I'd be too busy playing with them outside and encouraging them to exercise and not turn into little couch-potato fatasses. I figure most of my vices and guilty pleasures will probably go right out the window when/if parenthood enters the picture.

If I have a child, I will definitely introduce them to gaming, and play multiplayer with them often. No MMOs, though.

Pretty much this.

I will be a father in just a few short months, and I think Im gonna let the little tyke try out gaming from an early age, see if he gets into it.

I wonder if they sell miniature xbox controllers...

*cough* No, of course im not going to give a three year old gears of war!...

er, lets see how he likes mario galaxy...
