I take umbrage to that statement. It's not like your hobbies just go away when you "grow up", you just have more options available to you. I've been playing video games my whole life; I've also been really into guitar and computers my whole life. That doesn't just change one day.Zeeky_Santos said:Not sure if you've noticed, but a lot of the people (a majority in fact) on this forum are either 16, or dancing in the few preceeding or proceeding years and thus thisquestion has a low number of targets.UNKNOWNINCOGNITO said:Simple topic.
You are given the choice to live your life at the age of 16 again, will you do it ? and what would you do different ?
Me. Finish that fight I had with the egotistical attention seeking jock of the school. Grow My hair.
Generations just adapt slowly, and once this generation of 16 year olds gets to be in their 30's I think we'll see a lot more acceptance for adult gamers. I think it's come full circle to be honest. First, the arcades took all ages by storm. Then, consoles came out but were marketed as children's toys (Horrible decision in my opinion) so that's how they were treated.
I wouldn't be surprised to see adult arcades starting to pop up a lot more in coming years (I think Dave and Busters is the closest thing so far).
