Definitely a vampire, don't even need to think twice about it. Though I swear, if I start to sparkle I'd... actually not care that much. Because hey, it beats turning to ash.

For all the (deserved) critisism that Twilight gets I laugh at the people saying that they'd love to be a vampire but only if they're not a Twilight vampire. They don't burn in sunlight, they can't be staked, they're immune to garlic and they still have all the strengths from other stories. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

I'd go for a being that can control shadows. Re-shaping them, making them physical... Meet somebody I don't like? Bam, strangled by their very own self in jet black. Need to get somewhere fast? No probs, I'll just turn that convenience store's shadow into a helicopter. Anything is possible when you smell like a man... who has power over shadows.
