Dragons. They're giant, they're awesome looking, they live for an insanely long time, are naturally very intelligent and have unmatchable physical attributes augmented by magical abilities, and often a giant pile of treasure, but your mileage may vary with that one.

Besides having all that, as long as I wasn't a jackass, there would be less chance of some smart ass adventurers showing up to trying and kill me.
