If you could bring one game character on an epic adventure, who would it be?

Ratchet from Ratchet and Clank. Guys a walking armory, and a glove that shoots disco balls, is always a good thing.

My character in Saints Row 2. That cross dressing englishman can make anything seem funny!

Or of course I could take Fawkes. He could basically do all the work for me.

I would take either;
1.Clank: He would be an awesome companion, and he has a heli-pack and a thruster-pack to glide around.
2.Data from Megaman Legends: mainly for the reason that I love the little dance that he does.

I can't imagine going on an epic adventure with anyone else besides Kratos. He's practically in that level of awesome that it's bound to be illegal somewhere.

I think Kratos would be a terrible choice.
He has no people skills
He has no other skills besides killing
He's likely to rip you in half as soon as he gains something from it.

Alyx from Half life 2, or Konoko from Oni (if you haven't played Oni, go out and try it. Old game, but a classic.) Both are hot chicks capable of kicking ass and hacking.

I'm not sure if there are any game characters I like enough to have an epic quest with. Unless you count the characters that are me, and in that case, I'd find myself to be irritating or be disturbed by the idea that I'm talking to girl-me.

Alistair from Dragon Age:Origins.

He seems to have combat down for the occasional scrap, amusing banter down for the quiet walking periods and a generally pretty resilient attitude if things ever look grim.
Just don't let Duncan die...again...somehow.

Probably Tali'Zorah from the Mass Effects. She's able to defend herself well, has impressive tech skills, and is quite intelligent. She's also cute, likable, and easy to get along with. Which would be an important aspect, considering things wouldn't work well if one couldn't get along with the folk you're bringing with you. Thus her combat skills, her tech skills, and her likable personality makes a great combination for bringing along with on an epic adventure. At least, in my opinion obviously.
Great choice. I was gonna say Auron, and although the guy's an absolute rock, I think his grumpiness would get on my nerves. Tali as a much better bet!

Hmmm... Bayonetta. She's very easy on the eyes, and she doesn't afraid of anything.

Beat me to it. Exactly that.

Otherwise I'd go with Wrex, he's like reptilian Han Solo and would only occasionally point a gun at my head.

Sazh Katzroy.

He's awesome, and you fucking know it.
I hear quite a few good things about that chap.

Sad that I'll never know what you're all talking about until I finally get around to playing FF XIII. :l
