Halo. I am a fan of pre-Halo Bungee, but with Halo, they seems like Microsoft doesn't allow the to stop. I wanna see some more games like Myth from them. Also, Angry Birds. The CEO iss too arrogant.

Bejeweled.... it's just too over-used now, I mean I can't even go into Starcraft 2 without seeing a bejeweled game! So I quit that and IT'S IN PLANTS VS ZOMBIES AS WELL!
IT'S GONE TOO FAR NOW!

Final Fantasy. its time to move on square enix, just let it go...
I find it very funny that they called it Final Fantasy, as it was thought to be the last game they would ever make, and it ended up saving their asses. Shame they mutilated it so much since than...

HARMONY GOLD!! MAY THEY BURN IN THE DEEPEST REACHES OF HELL!!!!

Harmony F@*#&N Gold Stole Mecha designs from a Friggen Awesome Anime called MACROSS.
In America they got the copyright rights to the mechas (Even though they stole them from the Japs) and now the guys who purchased all of FASA corps stuff to make mechwarrior made a vid to promote it for investors for the new Mechwarrior 5 and one of the mechs in it is an old Macross design which HARMONEY F&*(^@N GOLD who says they own the rights to (Even though they stole them) is taking them to court, effectively killing mechwarrior 5 in its infancy!

THOSE DOUBLE STANDARD MOTHER F(*&^@S

*Spot the guy who loves Mechwarrior

And WOW for making an awesome serious game into a laughing stock!

Cue the hordes of people that can't understand why some people enjoy playing games they don't. Seriously, it isn't that hard a concept to understand that different people have different tastes. I dunno, most of the people that end up commenting on these sort of threads sound like they're butthurt over Call of Duty selling more copies than the games they like. And that's just sad.

On topic
None. I can't really think of a game series I dislike enough to wish it had never been made, although Big Rigs was so poorly made that it barely even qualified as a game, so I suppose getting rid of that would be good.
this. honestly for every game i don't personally like i would not actually destroy it, at some point or another it's brought a positive point with it in the process, the amount of angsty hate in here over some stuff is ridiculous.

OT: if i really really did want to go back and stop a franchise, or perhaps "steer" it differently, i would probably do so with battlefront games, i loved the 2nd one to death and i would've immediately saved any and all cash made off those first two games to fuel the third one into being made so it would already be here and made =]

mine the CoD, series it basiclly shot itself in the foot after CoD mordern warfare 1 (which i really liked) and now every developer and their dog want to sit in the same seat while they make the same game every year with slightly improved grahpics, more guns and one new gimmick.
don't get me started on the landslide of bad FPSs that it gave birth to

shooter games have been on the rise since halo hell they pritty much killed the platforming adventure game when was the last time we saw a game like banjo kazzuie or donkey kong 64 even mario 64 sure we have mario galaxy and still have zelda games but thats it n those are all direct ripoff of the n64 counterparts

Mario :D

No but seriously, I would say the Overlord series, nothing ground breaking and I'd have 60 bucks atm, or another game.

The problem with Sonic is that his creation was basically an effort from people who were jealous of the money Mario was raking in back in the early 90s. Sega's "blast processing" bit, making Sonic the star of many games, then trying to follow the plumber into the 3D platforming era. Sonic's creation also resulted in a slew of forgotten or mediocre animal mascots from other companies that, frankly, nobody cared about: Aero the Acrobat, Bubsy the Bobcat, Awesome Possum, so many companies trying to cash in on Sonic's success, who was really trying to cash in on Mario's success. And obviously, that attitude hasn't helped Sonic's qualitative success since 1994.

Despite that, though, does Sonic deserve to be erased from history? Maybe we would be better off. Then again, competition wouldn't have begun to breed among the market until Nintendo snubbed Sony's CD gaming console in favor of Phillips.

So, I'm rambling in conflict. Would we have been better off without Sonic?

What Macgyvercas said for Final Fantasy applies here too. Blizzard was in a BAAAD Place when WoW managed to save it's ass. Starcraft 2 was no where to be seen and BOTH Starcraft: Ghost and Diablo 3 were swimming around in dev hell. If they didn't release WoW when they did, Blizzard would be dead at this point.

OT: Farmville.
Thats debatable, Blizzard has already come out and stated that SC:Ghost was shelved because of World of Warcraft exploding in the fashion it did and having to allocate more resources to it, however we are going with franchises and because World of Warcraft falls under the Warcraft franchise I'd say it was a bad choice because WCIII was amazing.

OT: I agree, Farmville can burn in hell for all I care, hell, Zynga should be thrown into the deepest layers of hell and suffer eternally.

Originaly I was going to say Spore, since playing it was the second biggest disspointment in my life. However, I reconsidered after remembering that the concepts Spore introduced are being used in other games. So while Spore was mediocore, another game might become amazing by standing on it's shoulders.

So instead I'll say Golden Sun. I wasted so much time on the two GBA games as a kid, and for what purpose? They were shitty games. The only reason I thought the were good was because I had never played a decent RPG before. Revisiting thm years later I can see just how awful they are. Thing is, you could wipe Golden Sun out of existance and I doubt the gaming industry would change. What did Golden Sun innovate? What new ideas did it introduce? How did it inspire people? It didn't, so no harm would come from eliminating it. Then I can get my time back .

"Oh no, someone might berate a game franchise I like Q_Q"

How hard is it to understand that most people don't give a damn about what games you play and are just venting ther anger about a particular game they don't like?

I'd end CoD for sure, but that's just because I think it's a boring fps. Conversely, I really wish 3D0 would start making PC games again... Dungeons Keeper and Might and Magic were staples of my childhood.

CoD because then people would play other games, and it would get rid of the arseholes that rage when they die and orgasm when they do a 360 no scope, quickscope, Y double tap fucking backflip
