If you could choose 1 game to be wiped from history forever... What would it be?

Curse: The Eye of Isis for the X-Box. Worst game I ever played. The graphics almost made me ashamed to own an X-Box, the gameplay was broken and boring, the story can go fuck itself (nice Yahtzee quote for you), the camera was terrible. It caused me pain to play that game. I never got a quarter way through it, couldn't force myself to continue. After three hours of running aimlessly around the first level, constantly getting lost, not achieving anything, and doing stupid crap out of a point-and-click adventure, I put it down. Haven't touched it since.

I think HALF-LIFE should be wiped from existence, because compared to it everything in life sucks.

Either Halo or GTA, I'm not sure which. Both of them make me depressed about humanity, but for different reasons.

I would say Rock Band because of all the inane fanboy hate of guitar hero world tour, but since it still hasn't been released in Australia, it might as well not exist to me...

Micro Machines 64 was so horrible, I almost vomited upon remembering it.

Halo, its not a bad game but it made almost every shooter after it cheap clones
That's not fair. That's like talking about rock bands saying "it's Ozzy Ozbourne's fault we have a thousand shitty modern heavy metal bands that are just noise." You can't blame a great example of something for crappy examples. The reason this kind of thing happens is that the industry is trying to live up to the great ones. They try to repeat what great games (or movies or rock bands or T.V. shows, etc.) have done, taking what already exists and building on it, not actually putting forth any effort. It's when someone does put forth real effort to do something good to live up to an existing games standard or set a new standard, that we get real gems. Thing is, without great predecessors, we wouldn't have great successors. It's a double edged sword because of crappy successors for the same reason, but it's this cycle that keeps the industry going, and for that reason, I thank God (or whatever, not really all Christiany) for that cycle.

I'd probably eliminate GTA 3. Maybe then we wouldn't have so many news reports blaming video games for school shootings. Either that, or Halo. Halo is so nauseatingly popular just because Microsoft threw a bunch of advertising campaigns into it. Its only real saving grace is its soundtrack.
