DAMNIT! WoW wasn't mentioned till page 3ish so I thought I had an original post, nevertheless, my vote is still WoW, I haven't seen some friends in years, they just sit there, huddled over a keyboard, killing boars...Not only that, but the game has started a market for WoW gold, people are paid next to nothing in poor countries to collect gold, then gamers buy it for real money. What other game has practically created a market for slave labor?

I bought the game hoping to play as my fav characters like wakka and tidus. instead you spend half the game runnig round spira looking for spheres as yuna, rikku and some new chick.
And on top of all that your fighting styles depend on what dress your wearing, its like all the women Squaresoft got together and made the game themselfs.

Halo 2.Not Halo because Halo influenced the genre and showed PC Elitist how to make a good FPS for consoles.

Halo 2 on the other hand showed us that you can make a half-asses 7 hour game with no ending and make million.And then every single other game decided to be like Halo 2.

I'll say Diablo. It produced way more uninspiring clones then Halo or GTA and dumbed down an entire genre.
