Yea, it'd let new players get into PvP even more easily than they already can. If someone doesn't want to pilot a spaceship, explore, or what not, they don't have to. They can just be a soldier fighting for their corporation or they could be a part of a pirate raiding party. People could just play EVE like an FPS if they wanted to. It'd attract so many more players and it'd add so much more weight to just about everything.klarr said:that is a VERY good idea.Eipok Kruden said:EVE Online and Killzone 2. Basically, EVE Online with ground combat. You could be a part of a raiding party. You get into a pod, get loaded into one of the guns of one of the ships in your fleet, and then get fired at the enemy's ship or station. The pods would be like the ones the droids use in Star Wars or the Helghast use in Killzone. It'd slam into the hull, open up, and whoever is inside would slide out the bottom directly into the ship. You could take over enemy ships, including titans, by firing soldiers into them. Each soldier would control their character like a first person shooter. And when you die, you wake up as a clone since everyone's capsuleers. It'd be so awesome. Oh, and just imagine massive motherships orbiting a planet dispatching hundreds of transports filled with both AI controlled and player controlled soldiers onto the planet's surface. I hope CCP will eventually add something like that.
the only thing that i have to comment on that is it would have to have a massive server. but an even better idea is you can have flagships that are controled by the host or by anyone, but thats only if you want to go in a more team stratagy direction.Eipok Kruden said:Yea, it'd let new players get into PvP even more easily than they already can.
