I don't see the reasoning behind it. Because they have a lot of money? EVERY SINGLE COMPANY THAT EXISTS other than nonprofit is just as money hungry as microsoft is, though they may not be successful.

I know GFWL is the biggest piece of shit to ever come to the world of gaming, kinda making me wonder if xbox live is the same way, but then again, I don't really care much because I'll never use xbox live...

Exactly. If we get rid of Microsoft, then all we have is Apple. (Yes, I know about Linux, but too few people know how to use it for it to be worth mentioning.)
