One word: Batman.
Doesn't that mean you'd have to, y'know... get killed?

OT: Complete Heterochromia. Awesome thing to have!

An extra set of vital organs. It isnt that far fetched, it would be a little bit harder than everything else stated, but not monumentally.

What i mean is 2 hearts, 4 lungs, 2 brains, 2 stomachs ect.

Screw you death :p

It's been my question of the week at university and so now I put it to you, Escapist.
Basically the attribute has to be reasonable, no superpowers or extra limbs. And the scientists would tell you that something like "greatest baseball player who ever lived" is a mix of different things. You can have "naturally good at tennis" but not the greatest or best or fastest. And for the sake of argument we'll assume no-one else in the world has access to the technology so this is sort of an extra bonus to your firstborn.
"Particularly emotionally stable" or actually I think; "More in control of own emotions than the average person" is a better way of putting it.

Life is a lot easier when you're able to keep a level head and don't let your emotions run away with you when you don't want them too. So thats the attribute I would have me firstborn gifted with...

or theres always the simple but effective "Improved muscle development", make them good and strong without having to work too hard at it.

Charisma, as in incredibly charismatic to the point of hard to ignore even when surrounded by stronger/ smarter/ more attractive people.

I'd then eat his heart to gain his powers.

Wisdom. I'm not talking about knowledge that can be read/taught but experienced through deep thought. What I've learned through personal reflection.

Wings! Working wings! Who wouldn't want wings? Obviously, they'd have to be able to go away so that he/she doesn't get studied, but c'mon. WINGS!!!!

Maybe a neat tail.

Meh, what I want is this, without the cheating etc. But the completely weird mutant alien baby!

The ability to shoot bees out of his hand. He would thank me for it when he goes to school and is never bullied, ever.

If it was a girl, I'd genetically engineer crazy martial arts and gun skills into her then I'd train her to be Hit-Girl. If it was a boy, I'd genetically enginner lightning fast brainpower into him and train him to be an asshole to everyone.

After talking it over with the gf and friends I decided mine would be a love of turtles.
Let me explain, I love turtles and even if my kid was completely different to me in every other way I'd like to be able to share something that would be close to both of us. Hence, turtles.
Not everything genetics related has to be something we don't have.
You want to make a meme out of your child!?
OT: Disease resistance, I guess. Other than having a healthy son/daughter I wouldn't want a modded kid. Just a matter of personal preference, I think.

i would go for the V for Vendetta approach, and make sure the kid was super smart, super strong, and super agile. and i'd alter their brain to make sure that they remained humble and modest despite their power.
