I'd choose the classic Charizard, because it is a flying, flamethrowing dragon and is pretty much made of badass. Yeah!
well, it's probably obvious which one i'd choose. but as for why, i'd probably pick the same reasons as you, only a smaller package that's a bit easier to care for. also, charmander is SO darn cute. see?

edit: pokemon was a great series, i'd even call it perfect. so i'm totally OK with the fact that they NEVER expanded on the original 151. got that? don't you talk to me about cyndaquil or any of that BS. nothing after mew is actually a pokemon. :p

HITMONLEE.
Inspired by Bruce Lee, looks like a japanese demon, and has super-extendo legs.
And if you want to get technical, it has the highest base attack stat of any pokemon in existence.
And it would wear a hat and sunglasses and have a moustache.
And cook food.
And play Beatles Rock Band with me.

Can I tell it what to do?
Arceus. Hell, it can make pokemon for me. I'd populate the world with them, and we'd make pokeballs out of Apricorns.

Vaporeon, definitely. It'd be fun to have one around to swim with and go to the beach. :D

Oh yes, it is.
I remember I took down the entire Pokemon Gold Pokemon League with a lvl 82 Tyranitar. So badass!

Can I have more than just one? If not, probably electivire or swampert, or maybe honchkrow.

And, it can generate freaking landslides on perfectly flat plains, Tidal waves in deserts, thunderstorms when there's not a single cloud in the sky, etc.
