I don't know if I'd want the answer to this one. If you get a "no", well, it'd be fairly devastating if you were even a bit religious. And if you get a "yes", well, not much changes in your beliefs anyway. Maybe a bit more confidence, but that defeats the point in "having faith" if you know what you're believing in is proven to be true.

But can you imagine the amount of people you could save from going to hell if he was real? Im not one for pushing my opinion on others. But if he were real, id want to spread the word.

I sympathise, I also sympathise getting people away from the bible so that fundamentalists don't hang on to every old testament 6000 year old philosophy that has very little meaning today.

There is no research in the first place.

I would say yes there is and counter with simply because you don't know any doesn't mean that research doesn't exist.

asking me "How do you know god doesn't exist" puts me in an awkward position because I don't...

But I can believe in theores by Sagan, Tyson, Dawkins, Darwin, Hawking and plenty more that apply more to this Zeitgeist than copies of copies of translations of copies of modifications of an ancient text.
