Definitely immortality, or rather (since we're increasing a stat) increase the healthy lifespan by 3^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^3 years. Dying is approximately the worst thing, so that's high up on the list of Things That Must Be Fixed. If I could trick the super genie governing levelups, I'd also lower birthrate until we get off Earth for obvious reasons.

Lessen the amount of greed in humanity. I'd say 90% of our world's problems stem from the unhealthy amounts of desire for money, land, privilege, etc. that many prominent people in society exhibit.
That goes for greed of power as well.
I'd say greed is more like 99.9999999999% of the worlds problem, I really can not think of anything that can't be in some way traced back to money. It's weird really when you think about it money is something that we just invented, yet it is the biggest cause of conflict among people ever.
Well yeah, money is the purest form of energy. $5 essentially is a subway sandwich, 35 minutes of a minimum wage worker's time, or a little more than a gallon of gas. If money didn't exist, the subway sandwich would still be worth 35 minutes of the worker's time and if the worker wanted to eat he'd still have to work for it.

Even without money there'd still be greed.

Improved Self-Awareness I think it is. Kinda like intelligence, but humans are less likely to use it to build bigger bombs. Humans are more likely to figure out what they're doing wrong, figure out when they're being lied to by politicians, be more sceptical about their religion, basically become better all-round.

What I would do, is a major improvement. Very important! Remove the need for some people to use the word "dick" in a negative light. I mean, Jesus fucking Christ it's annoying when people do that. The terms "don't be a dick", "he's being a dick" and etc. I have never seen or heard a more irritatingly annoying negative term in all my life, and yet so many people use it. Urrgh, so yeah, I'd remove that term from regular human usage for good. What is empathy and peace compared to that horrible, horrible thing?!

The ability to take responsibility and genuine care for one's offspring.

That should go a long way.

The laziness of people. The way the expect life to come to them, companies to try to attract them and sell the products to them, other people to sort shit out and the way people use internets and gadgets for things that it would be healthier to do yourself (like go to the shops)

I'd upgrade everyone's "wisdom modifier", AKA the unfortunately uncommon sense attribute.

Any person I desire would not be able to resist my advances.
He did say the human race, not just yourself. So, in order for this to apply to the thread, everyone of (genetic group x) would get these super pheromones or however it works.
Yeah, so their supergenes would be an inability to resist my advances. Distinct from I would be able to woo anyone I desired, because the change is happening to everyone else.
I see.

I'm not sure whether or not to hope you realize the implications of this. Under this scenario, you would effectively be enslaving the minds of others in order to rape them without that pesky "free will" thing getting in the way.

An irresistible urge, before we do anything, to sit down and think if what we're doing is a good thing to do.

If everyone in the world was funnier/had a better sense of humour. I'd rather we were all happy and getting along than being hyper-intelligent logic machines. I guarantee that making people smarter wouldn't stop conflict, we'd just argue over different things. If everyone had a great sense of humour we could settle things over a pint.

You know how in A clockwork Orange where the main character gets a treatment where he becomes physically ill when he thinks about hurting someone else?

Something like that maybe.
Someone missed the point of A Clockwork Orange entirely. The whole message of it was to make people think that if we violently and remorselessly impress our will on other people, are we any better than the monsters we're supposedly curing?

Anyway, back OT: There is only one thing that could improve humanity: More cowbell.
Oh no I get the point that movie said it was a bad thing, I'm just not sure if I agree.

Same thing with Se7en. I enjoy that movie but I disagree with it's message. Hell I would argue that at least 5 of the 7 deadly sins shouldn't even be sins (6 if I'm feeling lucky).
That is the whole thing about a necessary evil though, isn't it. Does it's necessity excuse the evil, or merely provide a comfortable excuse for those who participate in it.

As for Se7en, I always understood the Deadly Sins to be sins only in excess. After all, Sunday is supposedly a day of rest, on which no work shall be done - the very definition of Sloth, surely. Doe only punishes those who take these sins to extreme levels, levels at which they come sins. Or so I always saw it.

[sub]I can't help but think I've read too much into a lighthearted thread here...[/sub]
