Its just vaguely based on. The Necron seem to be more based on possibly the Borg and the Terminator. You know the never get tired, never stop till achieve victory and stuff like that.

But go read Lovecraft. If you can past through some of the decayed writing and some racism, its something that will make you scared to think "What if...".

Well the thing is that Lovecraft was a pulp writer in the 20-30's. He wrote short tales and novels. Never full books. His work got compiled by many different editors and some of his friends.

So if you go to Amazon.com you will be literally overwhelmed with all the stuff about him.

So you will need a guide to be properly introduced to his work.

While I could write one for you its to late and I'm to lazy, so I'll just give you this one:

Rude? Where did we start to get rude? My chat betewen Mentor was actually civic and polite. And in a thread about "if you could make everyone believe/agree on one thing...." I actually made Mentor interested in Lovecraft and we both came to the agreement that the both mythos were cool.

So...the irony of it all is that we were always on topic.
