If you could see yourself living off one food for the rest of your days, what would it be?

Does it have to be one specific food? If so, pepperoni pizza with olives, jalapeños, extra cheese chilly seeds, all that good stuff.

Otherwise, pasta, simply for the greater range of options within a single food.

You know what? This. Just this. That pizza sounds absolutely gorgeous. I'm surprised I haven't even tried it yet; I always just get a plain pizza. /: I'll have to start getting more creative! Also, you're totally right about pasta. Heh, if it didn't have to be specific, what would you say? Personally, I'd be stuck between general Italian food and Mexican/Spanish!

Scalloped potatoes and ham. Its always been my favorite. Especially homemade with my mom's recipe. We always have it on my birthday/special occasions.

Reminds me a lot of scamp minus the ham! It's so good. Haven't had it in ages though.

Aw man, I don't understand how people could have so little in their subs. Mine's just falling apart but I'd happily take a few other things in it too! I've never tried the meatball subs and I don't think I'd ever want to to be honest S: That being said though, I'm gonna have to try something else soon!

I believe Yahtzee likes meatball subs (if his references to the Silent Hill games are to be believed). Man, haven't had a sub in ages (though I make my own fried egg/bacon/cheese & cucumber sandwiches these days... mmmmmmm...).

I dunno whether or not you were being serious but that's beside the point; I want to try that now. Hell, I like to dip McDonald's fries into McFlurries. It's actually so good. Had that just last week!

Y'know, despite being Chinese, I so prefer Japanese cuisine, especially when it comes to seafood. However, this being the UK, sushi is both generally rubbish and expensive. You want good sushi... get it in Australia!

Haha, speaking of being Chinese, I still need to visit my Cantonese friend at work. Apparently her parents would let me have a free dinner I love Chinese food so much though I usually only take a chicken curry with rice. Better than either of my siblings though; all they would ever take is a curry or gravy chip! For shame! Anyroad, yeah, I would agree with that actually. There used to be a sushi restaurant right beside the Waterfront Hall over here but if my knowledge is correct, it's closed down now I think. It was mega expensive though... so much so that I don't even want to think about it! Aw man, I would believe that. The amount of crazy fish they've got! Australia is really started to sound better than Finland now minus all the amplified by 100 in size creepy crawlies. Haha, ditto to the both of ye! I just said cereal for the time being because it's what I've been craving and it's in the kitchen so it makes sense I guess lol. But aye, I'd definitely be happy enough living off pasta.

Or lemon chicken. Not lemon pepper chicken, but another family recipe. It takes a couple hours to cook and can be rather expensive, though. Made it for an Ex's family (she wanted me to make it for them) and they loved it.

I was gonna say I've never actually tried flan LOL but I don't know; would you say cheesecake would be part of the flan family? Apparently quiche is haha so I don't see why not. I always thought it was a nice desert anyroad!

No doubt there, my friend. Things cooked in crock-pots always seem to be so tender if you let them cook a while. I generally make the time to cook. If I can't cook it right, there's no point, in my opinion. Though, most things don't have to cook too long, and if they do, you can usually leave them alone to cook for a time (just checking on them and stirring regularly). Though, I also make enough food to eat off it for a few days afterward to save me time during the week.

Damn. This is the second thread I wrote in about food in the last 10 minutes. People must be hungry on the site today.

Haha, I have to be brutally honest that I'm scared to even try sushi. Mind you, I did get a Tesco one and just nibbled at the rice. Pity that sushi bar is still yet to open in Victoria Square over here. The only Japanese-esque cuisine I would eat would be rice balls, haha. Haven't made proper ones in absolute ages though!

I tend to prefer Mexican/Spanish and Italian foods. Frankie & Benny's Italian restaurant and Chiquito; omnomnom.

Being Japanese, its kinda ingrained in me ironically, even though my ancestors ate cooked fish constantly, i cant STAND cooked fish. Makes me gag, weird huh?

Sushi HAS to be prepared right, if you DONT, people get very sick. I had a friend eat sushi someone made at home using non sushi grade fish, and he was sick for a straight month, puking and diarrhea. it was BAD.
