If you could see yourself living off one food for the rest of your days, what would it be?

Pizza or Pasta... Pizza or Pasta... Pizza or Pasta...

Does it have to be one specific food? If so, pepperoni pizza with olives, jalapeños, extra cheese chilly seeds, all that good stuff.

Otherwise, pasta, simply for the greater range of options within a single food.
You know what? This. Just this. That pizza sounds absolutely gorgeous. I'm surprised I haven't even tried it yet; I always just get a plain pizza. /: I'll have to start getting more creative! Also, you're totally right about pasta. Heh, if it didn't have to be specific, what would you say? Personally, I'd be stuck between general Italian food and Mexican/Spanish!

Scalloped potatoes and ham. Its always been my favorite. Especially homemade with my mom's recipe. We always have it on my birthday/special occasions.
Reminds me a lot of scamp minus the ham! It's so good. Haven't had it in ages though.

beef sauerbraten with spaetzle or a good philly cheese steak
I hadn't heard of that before so I had to look it up. It looks mighty tasty! Oh, on the topic of steak; have you ever tried it rare?

Aw man, I don't understand how people could have so little in their subs. Mine's just falling apart but I'd happily take a few other things in it too! I've never tried the meatball subs and I don't think I'd ever want to to be honest S: That being said though, I'm gonna have to try something else soon!
I believe Yahtzee likes meatball subs (if his references to the Silent Hill games are to be believed). Man, haven't had a sub in ages (though I make my own fried egg/bacon/cheese & cucumber sandwiches these days... mmmmmmm...).

I dunno whether or not you were being serious but that's beside the point; I want to try that now. Hell, I like to dip McDonald's fries into McFlurries. It's actually so good. Had that just last week!
Sorry... did I read that right?! Alright, come over, and I will educate you in 'good food'! =P

oh my god sushi for the absolute win! mmm philly roll... yes i know its not exactly Japanese, but its epicness for the win.

Id say Japanese cuisine forever, Matsutake Rice, Scallop Rice, Miso made with real shaved Katsuobushi, onigiri, sushi, sashimi, abalone rice... mmmmmm god im hungry again...
Y'know, despite being Chinese, I so prefer Japanese cuisine, especially when it comes to seafood. However, this being the UK, sushi is both generally rubbish and expensive. You want good sushi... get it in Australia!
So he did! Ugh, I dunno... they just look so nasty to me but as they say, don't knock it til you've tried it, haha. Though I'll have to really, really motivate myself! Lol!
Yes... yes, you did LOL. I can't remember who told me to try that but I've done it for years though I don't eat out of McDonald's very often, haha. Which is good! It's not particularly classy, haha!
Haha, speaking of being Chinese, I still need to visit my Cantonese friend at work. Apparently her parents would let me have a free dinner :D I love Chinese food so much though I usually only take a chicken curry with rice. Better than either of my siblings though; all they would ever take is a curry or gravy chip! For shame! Anyroad, yeah, I would agree with that actually. There used to be a sushi restaurant right beside the Waterfront Hall over here but if my knowledge is correct, it's closed down now I think. It was mega expensive though... so much so that I don't even want to think about it! Aw man, I would believe that. The amount of crazy fish they've got! Australia is really started to sound better than Finland now minus all the amplified by 100 in size creepy crawlies. And speaking of sushi, I'd have to try very hard not to remember that this wee fella is lurking about in the Australian ocean http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&cp=30&gs_id=5&xhr=t&q=beef+sauerbraten+with+spaetzle&gs_sm=&gs_upl=&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&biw=1280&bih=678&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi#um=1&hl=en&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=Blobfish&oq=Blobfish&aq=f&aqi=g10&aql=&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=19085l19085l0l19557l1l1l0l0l0l0l193l193l0.1l1l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=61297843d1ac0df7&biw=1280&bih=678 As lazy as they are ugly!

Crunchy Nut. Lovers gonna love, that shit is actually, literally magic.
Ooh, but then there's sausage rolls. I love sausage rolls more than you love your mum.
But Crunchy nut are more filling so, yeah, Crunchy Nut.
Haha, ditto on every last word! Although I'm quite picky in regards to sausage rolls because I'm practically terrified of finding gristle in them, yee. Hence why I tend to eat more quorn than minced meat.

Pasta with cheese sauce, pesto and black olives. I'm getting hungry just by writing it!
Haha, how do you think I feel? Everything that everyone's posted so far sounds totally ravishing; I only half-regret starting this thread up, haha! Awk, not really. I love hearing/reading what everybody has to say. But my word, I've got some serious cravings right now!

stove popped popcorn, that stuff is the best.
I've never tried it! Dirt cheap too so I should at some point. Aw, man; where is that shopping list? Have you ever tried home made crisps? They take bloody ages to do but they are so tasty!

Pesto.

I've lived on it for about a month atm.
It's got carbs, protein, AND a minimal amount of vitamin C, so I can even survive without getting the scurby.

I could live off of pasta. Hell I could even live off of plain pasta, but it should at least have Parmesan on it.

Do cows as a whole count as food? Because if so, I'd go with cows. If not, then a meal of steak, potatoes, and assorted vegetables such as peas, green beans, asparagus, and onions. If I can only choose one thing, it is steak. Tasty, delicious filling steak.

Haha, ditto to the both of ye! I just said cereal for the time being because it's what I've been craving and it's in the kitchen so it makes sense I guess lol. But aye, I'd definitely be happy enough living off pasta.
Penne Arrabiato with olives from Frankie & Benny's. Yum!

I could probably live off my home made spaghetti for the rest of my life. My grandma taught me to make it, so yeah, it's good. Only problem is that I cook it in a crock-pot so it takes a long time to cook.

Or lemon chicken. Not lemon pepper chicken, but another family recipe. It takes a couple hours to cook and can be rather expensive, though. Made it for an Ex's family (she wanted me to make it for them) and they loved it.

Haha! Totally! I said an entire meal counts, so why not? Ever tried steak rare seeing as we're talking about steak?

I was gonna say I've never actually tried flan LOL but I don't know; would you say cheesecake would be part of the flan family? Apparently quiche is haha so I don't see why not. I always thought it was a nice desert anyroad!

Homemade food is always by far the best, haha. Either way like, I'm sure it always tastes better the longer it takes to cook. I have an undying love for jacket potatoes and they always taste better done in the oven for an hour, especially the potato skin, but I always do them for ten minutes in the microwave then maybe about five in the oven to make the skin all crispy so it's quicker and more convenient.

No doubt there, my friend. Things cooked in crock-pots always seem to be so tender if you let them cook a while. I generally make the time to cook. If I can't cook it right, there's no point, in my opinion. Though, most things don't have to cook too long, and if they do, you can usually leave them alone to cook for a time (just checking on them and stirring regularly). Though, I also make enough food to eat off it for a few days afterward to save me time during the week.

Damn. This is the second thread I wrote in about food in the last 10 minutes. People must be hungry on the site today.

Moose eggs are amazing, and they contain everything you need to survive (bacon, chicken, bacon, jalepeno peppers, bacon) and are mighty tasty.

Haha, I have to be brutally honest that I'm scared to even try sushi. Mind you, I did get a Tesco one and just nibbled at the rice. Pity that sushi bar is still yet to open in Victoria Square over here. The only Japanese-esque cuisine I would eat would be rice balls, haha. Haven't made proper ones in absolute ages though!

I tend to prefer Mexican/Spanish and Italian foods. Frankie & Benny's Italian restaurant and Chiquito; omnomnom.

Being Japanese, its kinda ingrained in me :p ironically, even though my ancestors ate cooked fish constantly, i cant STAND cooked fish. Makes me gag, weird huh?

Sushi HAS to be prepared right, if you DONT, people get very sick. I had a friend eat sushi someone made at home using non sushi grade fish, and he was sick for a straight month, puking and diarrhea. it was BAD.

I have to choose just one huh? Hmmm...on one hand there's fried rice with pork, peas, carrots, egg, chicken, beef, and some mild spices. On the other hand there's currywurst. Hmmmmmm...WAIT! I've got it! Currywurst fried rice! Screw choosing, I'll just combine the two!
