There, I just stopped the spread AIDS. You're welcome.
After reading the OP I was given two options. Think for a while and come up with a response, or steal the answer that I liked the best.

Congratulations I like your answer the best. Now one of us needs to find a genie quick, and I sure hope this wish works retroactively.

Apparently you don't have a very good understanding of rap music.
Just like in any genre, there are plenty of different forms of rap. Many rap/hip hop songs call for equality and social justice. Many rap/hip hop songs are about bitches and hoes. However, you cant say an entire genre of music is detrimental to society, as people use it to express all kinds of viewpoints.

You may not like the rhythm, but that's certainly no reason to wish it out of existence.
Eh, to each his own. I completely respect people like Eminem for going out and expressing themselves, but I, personally, prefer every other form of music over it. There are equivalent amounts of expression in many genres (well, 'cept pop. Not much 'good' is coming from there, either) that are different from rap, and I think that if "mainstream" was different than the rap and pop it is today, we'd be all the better off.

And I mean modern rap; when rap first came around it was a lot better than it is now. But again, that's my personal view.

My ex-girlfriend... wait no, FOX News... wait no, Radio Shack. Actually that last one would be a waste of a wish, so I'll just go with Silicon Knights, now we know Too Human 2 will never be made.

Well, somebody just got their wish.

For me, aging. A) Knowledge would compound with less loss. B) Folks would be forced to face eventualities, rather than just pass 'em on to their children. C) Religion would be limited to the truly faithful, as an afterlife suddenly becomes less of a carrot/stick.
Yeah, there'd be a bit of a population issue, but it'd get the space program rolling again.

Everything that George Carlin saw wrong with the world.

Because it would be an awesome result.
i hope you take religion out of that list, because despite the zealots, it is an enforcer of morals, and also makes a fuck ton of people content in the belief that when they die, it isnt the end. i know i would be a goddamn hedonist if i didnt hope that being good would get me more than just tiny ass short term gain, in the form of not a fuck ton of suffering.

It stays on the list.
i see your point, i was just thinking that by religion you meant complete removal of any beliefs altogether by anyone, rather than just getting rid of the oversized organized religions who like to stick their pious hats into other people's business.
i wasn't saying they helped human progress, im saying religious beliefs, which are bound to form organizations because of like minded individuals but thats beside the point, do the little job of providing a sense of security and content, sometimes even strength and will to go above and beyond, in people who do believe (which really cant be qualified as a bad thing no matter how ya look at it).
and also, it had no small hand in generating the morals many people in the developed worlds share, and if i remember correctly (correct me if im wrong), many of the enlightenment thinkers didn't dismiss the church entirely, as it did have some good ideas, it just had a lot more power hungry, hedonistic, pricks (see the book "a world lit only by fire". middle section i think, covers the church in late medieval/renaissance quite well in this respect)

Stupid people, eh, actually. That would destroy 90% of the worlds population.
wouldn't it be 100%? Since "stupid" is largely subjective?

I would make money disappear... yep I'm the kinda guy who watched the zeitgeist movement documentaries...

My alternative option would be to make myself invisible (invisible is a way of disappearing right?)... I would love to be invisible... no one would know... but me :D... muhahahahahah.

Definitely mosquitoes. They're annoying, they spread disease, and they make you all itchy.
Preach it, brother! I used to keep count of how many of those little fuckers I killed every summer. It was always several hundred.
I stopped going outside one year it got so bad. Those things can burn in acid.

OT: Overpopulation. There, I just solved like half of the world's problems.
