Well, I think I would do what I always planned to do with such massive money.



After hiring a lawyer and accountant to deal with all the little things I'd have to worry about like taxes. After the government comes and takes their cut due to taxes, I'll probably be left with somewhere in the range of 500,000,000 dollars. More than enough!

I'd give my parents a good 10 million dollars. I heard that with about 7 million in a good bank account, you can earn about 100,000 dollars a year on interest. That should make it so my parents never have to work again for the rest of their lives.

I'd give my grandparents about 5 million. This way they could live comfortably and do whatever they wanted. Travel or whatever.

To my assorted friends and other family, I'd give between 500,000 and one million dollars. And that's it. If they can't be happy on that, they don't deserve more. In other words, they need to keep working.

And I'd give a decent amount to charity. Probably to Child's Play, because I have a soft spot in my heart for them. The amount would be based on what my accountant and lawyer advised (there's a reason I hired them).

For whatever remains, I'd pay off all my debts and put the vast majority of it into continuously compounding bank accounts and live off the interest. I might continue working or whatever just to kill some time. Who knows. I don't have money troubles at all though, since I have plenty of money.

That's rather offensive and disrespectful. I mean, I totally accept your God and everything and I don't say your God made people do bad things, so why do you feel like you need to say that my god - money - makes people do bad things? I am most decidedly miffed by this. I demand a formal apology.

If I won a trillion dollars, I would buy myself a good car, buy myself a large house, and pay my way into college so I can still have something to do with my life instead of turning into a rich lazy snob. I would probably donate a little to some causes that *I* deem worthy of my money. But I would mostly get into schooling for whatever I want to do in life. That kind of money will just make it easier for me to get to where I want.

And yes, while I'm not exactly the most religion-tolerant person myself, I've never suggested, or wanted to burn down a church, and certainly wouldn't expect an apology for any insults thrown my way if I did. The idea that someone would is somewhat ridiculous.

Just because the religious fundamentalist nutcases want to burn shit they don't agree with, doesn't mean athiests, agnostics or even relatively sane religious people have to.
