the Death Note, a notebook that contains five written instructions:
1. The human whose name is written in this note will die.

2. This note will not take effect unless the writer has the subject's face in their mind when writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected.

3.If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of writing the subject's name, it will happen.

4.If the cause of death is not specified, the subject will simply die of a heart attack.

5.After writing the cause of death, the details of the death should be written in the next 6 minutes and 40 seconds.

Very simply how would you use the Death Note? would you abandon it? Use it? and how would you use it?

i would use it, most differently most likly on criminals and people who lie and cheat for money

I would just use it......vigorously, even trade half my life for the shinigami eyes.

If I've got the tools, I may as well go to work with them.

To be honest, I don't think I'd be brave enough to use it. I mean sure I might start off with some criminals who truely deserve it but where do you draw the line? Who am I to decide whether someone should live or die? Without knowing everything about the situation (and considering I'd get most of my information through media sources I don't consider myself well informed) I could be condemning an innocent person to death.

I think if I ever found a Death Note, I wouldn't tell someone and either burn it or go bury it somewhere no one would ever find it. Something with that kind of power shouldn't be in mortal hands.

Keep it ofcourse. But only use it sparsely. No point dragging on unwanted attention now is there? ^^

I wouldn't use it. Don't you not-be-able-to-go-to-heaven if you do? No thanks.

NO NO NO NO NO. I'm flinging that blasted thing as far as I can. Sure it makes for a good murder mystery series, but I don't want to be part of a murder mystery series. I'd rather prefer a fantasy, or harem, if I'm feeling in the mood.

I'll have to go with the other people that said burn it. Or if it's some kind of nearly indestructable book (haven't watched the show/read the manga to know) see how much punishment it can take.

Well do you remember the other rule?

The user of the Death Note can go to neither Heaven nor Hell.
I'm not sold on that.

Anyway if I was to use it I'd use it selfishly and just deal out punishment to those I hate.
Which are few and far between but still.

i would simply alter the written instructions.

1. The human whose name is written in this note will die. recieve what is outlined in the note.

2. This note will not take effect unless the writer has the subject's face in their mind when writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected.

3.If the cause of death gift is written within 40 seconds of writing the subject's name, it will happen.

4.If the cause of deathgift is not specified, the subject will simply die of a heart attack. recieve a ferret.

5.After writing the cause of deathgift, the details of the deathgift should be written in the next 6 minutes and 40 seconds.

much fun would be had afterwords... possibly a boom in the ferret population as well.
I would rename the notebook 'Ferretnote' Then sell the rights to some company... maybe they could make some sorta animated series off of it.

the manga says that when people die they go to MU- nothingness so i wouldn't be really worried about using it.
I would probably use it sparingly and not draw attention to myself

Yes but the joke is that there isn't a heaven or hell. (Exact(ish) quote from rules is you can't go to heaven or hell if you use the Death Note).

Well I'd guess burning it would work (mainly just to piss the shinigami who owns the book off). Otherwise use it for monetary gain so as you buy my way into power and start my country and attempt world control (all from behind the scenes of course). Mabye use the death note like how countries use nuclear weapons (a mostly empty threat).
