The problem with that is you need about 3 million dollars to do that. And Engines are no easy work. Just look at Free Radical's work on HAZE.

I'd probably try to grow it into more than a million through investments. If successful, i'd continue trying to make it into more while living an easygoing life in a rather average appartment, with no real luxuries other than always keeping myself supplied with top of the range hardware for my PC and games.
