I would put one on a clear glass panel, to see what the back of a portal looks like. Probably nightmarish.

Sorry, glass and similar plastic or Lexan sheets are not valid surfaces for portals to attach to. You can try it in the game and it doesn't let you. You however may be able to attach it to a surface that can "see" like a giant wall-sized digital camera. I have no basis for that assumption, but I played the game too much to know it doesn't work on transparent surfaces.

Personally I'd probably create a portal above my bed and another in the hedge outside my local pub. Stuble out the pub, fall into the hedge, land in bed, asleep before my head hits the pillow.

that pic gave me some ideas to try with my girlfriend, like giving new meaning to 'born again'

other than that, i'd use it for transportation, i'd try to replicate the tech so that i could use more than two portals at a time. find a way to manufacture small portals, then i'd get rich by selling the most effective* condom ever. oh yeah.. and help the world with infinite energy and all that..

..maybe take over the world for awhile since the government would most likely try to take the gun from me, then give them infinite energy to help smooth out the treaty

True.. I don't think I would use a toilet that had a glowing portal on it, but if I really had to go.

I would create a trap

Put a Portal onto the ground, another in the ceiling,and then drop a knife through.

I would also put one in-between walls, and then shoot a bullet through.

I would then be the first person to watch a bullet die off

To make to bullet go through the portals straight enough for it to not veer off course and be a problem, you'd have to be extremely accurate, and fast, cos when shooting, you're essentially aiming at the back of your head.

And I though of that beforehand.

So I would put each Portal 1 mile away from each other,and make a mechanical arm do the shooting.

I'd use it for convenience. During the school year, I'll just set up a portal in my locker and a portal in my room. During the summer, I'd ask a friend about setting up a portal there because I live a few kilometers away from my friends, and if I set up a portal in the area we'd all be within walking distance.

Alternatively, I'd just "fling" my way around the neighbourhood.
