This morning while doing some research on the history of al qaeda as well as honor killings in the middle east I immediately thought of this thread and decided that every islamic cleric that has sent impressionable young arabs to a suicide bomb death, every male relative that has killed a woman for his "honor", every man that murdered a woman for wanting to be educated, every one of these monsters I would drop a portal beneath that opened up over the pacific ocean right where the USS Indianapolis went down and then drop a few hundred butchered pigs in with them. Imagine that kind of horror.

It would also be great during the winter - have one portal somewhere hot, like in a desert, and the other in your cupboard. When you're feeling chilly, just open the cupboard.

On a lighter note, I've decided that I wonder exactly how fast a "portal beam" goes- it's much slower than light, so it could be a problem, trying to open portal into a distant galaxy.
I would use it to steal loads of money and spend it on research for the function to make portals bigger and smaller and i would make a tiny portal on someones glasses andkeep poking them in the eye hahahahhahahahaha

Work with nasa to create a poratl slingshot to get point B of a portal system to hit an incredibly far off potential habitable planet. For security reasons, point A portal would be set in a vacuum sealed radiation insulated room through which we could send initial exploration parties.
