go back to 1914, kill Gavrillo Princip to stop Archduke Franz Ferdinand's assassination, which send Serbia and Austria-Hungary into conflict, which eventually rangled up the Russian Empire, Germany, France, the U.K., and so on, WWI happened, and its incredibly sh*tty treaty made Germany a crappy place, which gave rise to Hitler's pessimism, which led to the Nazi's coming to power, WWII & the Holocaust, nukes, all that jazz; the Bolshievek Revolution, Russia going Communist, the spread of Communism, which led to hippies, the McCarthy Era and the Red Scare, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, all the Sh*t that followed, and even more modern things like maybe the Soviet War in Afghanistan, which could probably affect the lives of Saddam and Osama, modern wars yada yada yada yada yada yada yada yada i could go on for hours.

I'd just like to point out they they already used the "America and Russia went to war" for the entire Red Alert series. Besides, considering that most war FPS's play pretty much the same, I don't see why that would make a difference.
Id just invent stuff from today, but earlier.
IF youve seen Hotub Timemachine youd know what i mean. Just bet on sports events that i know ( if youve seen HT ill have you know that what happened there WONT happen to me ) invent Google, Basketball, Guns, write MANY hit songs, stop several crimes from occuring ( not ones that are/were vital to advancement, but things that dont need to happen, and a bunch of stuff.

take stuff back in time and "invent" it
check out what the big bang looked like
save lincon
save kennedy
tell my past self things so i'll sound psychic
erase the terms legit,whippersnapper and the name nicolas from existance
kill that guy who first sold tobacco (i mean the euopean not the first nations guy)
stop slavery
stop george lucas from agreeing to make all of those god awful star wars cartoons and such
find out who jack the ripper was
go forward in time, take stuff, and "invent" it back here
make myself supreme ruler of all things
and finally,
go back in time 2 days so i can reeat that delicious sandwich i had mmmmmmmmm

Imagine if someone from 1910 got a time machine, traveled to 2010 and got one of those crappy $10 MP3 players from any random electronics store. It'd be like alien technology to them. Then imagine if they actually got a non-crappy piece of technology!

Go 100 years in the future, get some expensive, advanced technology (that I'd pay for with the money I got from the lottery), and bring it back to the present to give to scientists to reverse engineer. After they do that, I'd go to the future and do the whole process again and again, until after only a few decades humanity would have advanced to a point that would have normally taken thousands of years.
