i've always wanted to call my son jam, after the character from snowboard kids.
as for a girl, electra. i'm not talking about the pathetic super-heroine. if you're not into your classical literaure, that's agamemnon's daughter.

unfortunately though, in reality i wouldn't call them those names for two very important reasons:
1. the missus wouldn't allow it
2. i'm not a ****

For a girl, I would name her Scout. Not because of TF2, but because of To Kill A Mocking Bird. I would perhaps name her Celes, but I already have a cat named Celes, and years down the line I am sure she would not appreciate being named after the cat.

As I don't expect to have children (what I expect and reality I know are two very drastically different things) I am trying to convince my brother to name his expected daughter Scout, or at the very least, Emma as the first name (his choice), and Scout as her middle name.

For a boy, Caleb. It's a nice really old name. (Although my brother was going to use that name before he knew it was going to be a girl, since he's not using it, I would.)

Arthas and Jaina.

Just kidding.

I wouldn't be influneced by games, really. I don't want to stick my child with an embarrasing name that was chosen because it was "funny" at the time.

She even has a complex named after her.

And not a sports complex either.

In the unlikely event of me having kids then I would probably choose the following names:

Boy: Damian/Adrian (hey, they are badass names)
Girl: Er...the mother could pick the name.

Again, this is a hypothetical answer to a very unlikely situation (for me anyway).

Yeah, I know what you said, but there is no alternate universe where I love kids and I'm still me.
It doesn't fucking work like that.

Soap/Ghost for a boy and Gaz/Price for a girl. Obviously coddies =) and Gaz is the name of Dib's sister in Invader Zim. These are middle names only, I want my future husband/boifriend/baby's daddy to get the choice of first name if they want.

Why you going to give your son a mermaids and washing powder name? He isn't born yet and he is already being mocked in school by bullies.
In response to your quotes:

What makes you think it's a girls name?
Arry-el. Oh, right. I've been saying it in a Spanish accent, so I'll have to move to Spain, or Mexico, where it'll sound good.
