New people haven't been in on these kinds of discussions before, and you dig up some old thread where everyone made their point, and no one will post on it. No one said you had to read and post about this subject, so let people that haven't been there have their fun/agony in peace.

Seriously? You'd have to be new to the Internet to have not experienced such a generic topic. The only time this kind of discussion is ever dug up from its well-earned crypt is for those who want one of two things:

a) A fight

b) Appreciative grunting from the choir.

If people want to talk about it they will. You can't stop it, and doing the obnoxious "We've done this topic before" doesn't change a thing, all you can do is ignore it until it goes away. The religion threads usually hibernate for a few weeks before rearing their ugly heads again.

So just ignore it, let those with opinions make them, and we can all move on.

It wouldn't matter whether or not you showed your evidence because many people wouldn't change their opinion and they'd say that your evidence was fabricated.

Think about it in a different way...If you found proof that God did exist, would any of these atheists change their beliefs? I know that they say they would, but they're lying to keep you from thinking that they are biased.

If you ever find proof one way or another, show it if you can, but don't force it on anyone or you'll just start a war with it.

I agree completely, either the Escapist mods should remove the people who make hate speeches and flame or they really should ban the topic. The atmosphere of the forum has been steadily degrading because of this shit.

Someone recently started a thread asking if the topic of religion should be excluded - it got locked. It is kind of ironic the mods acted so swiftly in that instance but seem to be unable to deal with the shite the topic is causing.
