depends. if i was say batman, i would keep it to myself... and maybe a friend or two. if i was superman, then i would fly to D.C., smash my way into the oval office, look at the president, and say "i believe everyone here is in agreement, im in charge."
Batman doesn't have superpowers.
his belt is a power.

OT: yes, i really would tell everybody no matter how trivial the power was.
I don't think that's really what F'Angus meant...but okay.

i wouldn't tell anyone about it, but then again, i'm sure some people would know what it is when i look into their eyes and say "I order you, give me a 2L bottle of coke every day"

Also the dragons can't grant a wish involving something more powerful than they are. And Manhattan is. So their power wouldn't aid him.
Goku is literally the dragon. He sort of fuses with Shenron and becomes the new dragon, essentially. He is the strongest being in the universe, and while Dr. Manhattan may be able to manipulate it to a much higher extent than normal humans, he is still a being in the universe. Goku grants his own wish to kill Manhattan.

I must say, I like how this started out with religion and yet we haven't mentioned it once.

And fuck religion. It's overrated and full of closest homosexuals who'd rather abuse children than face that fact.
Fair enough, especially considering I'm a closet homosexual who'd rather abuse children than face that fact, just like the ballpark figure 5 billion other people who believe in religion. That's a lot of child-abusing homosexuals.

No.

Whatever the power, I'd use it to help people if I could (if I had a supernatural ability to kill people or something I probably wouldn't bother, for example), but I would never reveal that I had it or that it was me. I wouldn't even parade being a superhero, I'd try and stay as unknown as possible.

It would depend on the awe factor. Flight, invulnerability, climbing walls, speed; they're all flashy with good awe potential. Telepathy, super healing, corrosive phlegm; those would either scare or repulse people having very poor awe potential.

What's the point of being the champion of all that is good and just if all you can do is melt things with your vomit.
Yeah pretty much this, you damn ninja.

If it was a power I could 'patriotize' like super strength and or near-invincibility, I'd make a point of being out there, loud and proud.

Invisibility is something of a reverse, you're already good at hiding, why would you want to change that? You'd make so many people paranoid.. xD

I personally wish I was a technopath, controlling technology with my mind :D in a world full of technology that would make me pretty dangerous considering how much I could affect lol

If it turned out the way it did in my dream a few years ago; I'd do exactly what I did in my dream:

I'd help my friends stay alive (most of them had different powers, as well) and mobilize to find others of our kind. In the end, we totaled 144. Our wonderful, paranoid world leaders lead such a devastating attack against the mutations, that by the end of the dream most of the world was destroyed and the 144 of us managed to escape to another dimension thanks to some help from the mutants of that dimension.

I wasn't too thrilled with my super-power at first. My two best friends had awesome physical abilities (super-strength and the ability to jump great distances) and at first I didn't even think I had powers. Later I found out I happened to have heightened problem-solving skills (I dislike the term 'heightened intelligence' because you can't just absorb knowledge out of thin air). Then later on I found I didn't need to eat, drink or sleep and pretty much nothing could physically harm me (I found this out by my surviving through a nuclear explosion). By the last time I had one of these types of dreams; I had telepathy, strong telekenetic powers and the ability to teleport anywhere I wished.

I have alot of weird dreams. This one happens to be one of my favorites just because it was such an epic story. There's much more that goes on than just the brief outline I gave above, the beginning is really interesting. I might write it out someday...

Since the only power I would want is teleportation, I guess people would find out cause i'd be blinking around all over the place...

Yep. Same here. Although, I'd also like to throw in flamethrowing and a sexy pair of wings. =P

I have a few people I'd tell. And probably a few people I'd tell after using my powers to freak them the shit out. Other than that, no. I'd keep it quiet, and at least explore my superhero options. But when that proves impossible without the secret coming out, then I'd probably use my powers for mildly selfish goals (such as securing my economy etc) and party-tricks in my circle of initiated people.

Depends what kinda power level you're talking about here.

Yeah I guess.. probably wouldn't bother telling anyone if I could like make peas explode or something like that... If I could make people explode though I might have to use that for world domination
Making peas explode like they were nukes would be cool
