I'd just order unlimited games games off of Xbox live and while I have my connection, I would signal for help so I wouldn't be on the island for 3 years.
You can only have 1 game, off any media.

And I will find you if you try to signal...

Im watching you....

Fuck that, one game for three years. I'll just drown myself.
You can do other things like build rafts, hunt, fish. The game is just to past the time while on the island.
Still three years is an awfully long time.
It is but, people have sunk months and months into games like Fallout, and Starcraft.
I've done a few months myself but years are a totally different story.
When you actually put it that way, a game would have to be made to accompany the load of three years. like 3 morrowinds, in one game. Todays games just arent made for that.

I need to find a game with lots of reading. I always seems to find myself deeply interested about what people have to say, and hopefully it has good enough game play to fill the gaps.

Curse you for not letting me get Team Fortress 2 and a book, you foul fiend!

hmmm... difficult, very difficult. I'd probably have to say Mass Effect 2. I've already done five playthroughs and I'll probably do another one eventually. That game has been worth every cent.
You have a Time Machine in your grasp, you can get ME 3 if needed...
Hmmm... I'm still sticking with ME2, just because I KNOW that it's a good game. I have tons of faith in Bioware for making ME3 a great game, I'm just a pessimist at heart.
Because if the team dies in a tragic fire, and they still make it years later, you will be stuck on an island for 3 years with...that filth...
FILTH!? Watch your mouth! I have loved only a very few amount of games to play them more than three times by myself. This game is godly.
Nooo, Im saying if you bargin with the time machine to bring you Mass Effect 3, the main bioware team may die, then you are stuck with a non bioware ME 3, which would be indeed Filth.
Huh? Wait... I'm confizzles...
It's like 2:30 in the morning, man, I think imma go before my brain hurts...

Team Fortress 2, because I'd want a multiplayer game since I'd be there so long, and it's the most balanced game I can think of.

For one year I would play Team Fortress 2 on the neighboring island with you.

The only game I could stand to play for eternity with no sequals, mods, or expansion packs?

Then I'm sorry to say it's a casual game called Fairway Solitaire. XD It should bore the snot out of me, but it's got the type of cocaine-like addiction this one gaming magazine guy had with Peggle.

If expansions & mods are allowed, the Neverwitnter Nights. If sequals are allowed, than Baldur's Gate. Te first game has content that goes on forever, the 2ed is funny & you can change it a bit each time.

Uh... Mount and Blade, Spore, Fallout 3, Sims 3, or Supreme Commander. Something I could sink a lot of time into playing, and continue to have something to do in it.
Im suprised you are the first to say Supreme Commander instead of StarCraft, and the first to say Mount and Blade instead of Morrowind. I prefer Supreme commander and Mount...
I knew I couldn't be completely alone. I feel both of those are surprisingly underrated actually. Mount and Blade can be extremely fun because of the number of ways you can play it, and Supreme Commander for having some of the most insanely massive battles I've ever seen in a game. Honestly, the size some battles can take is just rediculous.

Mount&Blade, especially if I could have access to mods.
Or Rome: Total War. A campaign can take months to finish.

But I have become bored with Rome, but not Mount&Blade.

Rome Total War, good choice. But I got bored with it rather quickly. Fun game though.

Demoman is with us, as he said Mount and Blade, but the battles are large in Supreme commander, I remember when I tried to play it on high, my comp. chugged some when there were many units on screen. was that windows 2000 back then?
