Oblivion probably. That would be awesome if the game world became alive. Though I think it would be depressing to play a video game for the rest of your life.

Lord of the Rings Online.

Great atmosphere and epic storyline will make this last a long time (or until Turbine runs out of money). If I don't feel like killing stuff I can just go to an inn grab some ale and a pipe and blow smoke dragons or grab an instrument and play some music. :)
What he said.

The game is vast and there are many different areas to visit, there is no need to always kill stuff - exploring, crafting, role-playing are all options as are smoking weed (Not *that* kind of weed though) and drinking - I have woken up with a hangover at many different places including the cat house in Bree, on top of giants' needle and even in a pigsty! As long as Turbine keep adding areas there will be new stuff to do but even without new areas the fact that it's an MMO means that every day is different as you interact with different people - real people, not computer controlled NPC's who tend to have set behaviour.

Id go with either Fable 1 or 2. soley for the fact you can change what happens with a shitload of options. or (and I cannot believe im even saying it) WoW "ONLY!!!!" because some mates play it and from the looks of things the mapping etc is freaking huge. if its not huge then i'll simply burn the game, the pc because its tainted with WoW and run away and live with the amish people with a sword on my back. (and kill Miley Cirus for lolz)

The Witcher, most likely.

Neverwinter Nights being a close second.

Both of them because of their awesome community, and the engine which makes developing campaigns rather simple, and yet you can do so much with it.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The number of times I've played that game all the way through has got to be in the triple digits by now, yet I never get sick of it.

If not that, then something like Morrowind where there's always something new to do or mountains of sidequests to work through.
