Number 2. I like good gameplay and if I can't have that then I at least want a good story. (However, even the greatest story can't make up for horrible gameplay for me.)

Morrowind has proven, once and for all, that when you have proper graphics, and a rich and immersive enough world, with lots of engaging stories, that whole gameplay business is entirely optional.
See, I couldn't stand Morrowind just for this very reason. I got frustrated and bored and realized I had other things I'd rather be doing.

You missed out on one of the three most interesting and rich worlds ever created in video-games, so far.

2 but I can live with 3. AC2 was definitely a 3, so much damn Italian it's impossible to remember anyone's name or understand what they were saying. Seriously, we had how many sets of bad guys and before we could start caring we had already stabbed all of them. Still fun though.

Definitely 2. I can get over something looking like shit. Horrible gameplay will frustrate me and bad story will leave me uninterested.

Though I suppose I could put up with 1 as long as the gameplay isn't TOO shitty.

I'm okay with bad graphics, right up until they start interfering with other things. So probably 2.

A good story with good gameplay, or even just average gameplay, will stand the test of time. Others, that focus on just the graphics and/or gameplay, soon enough become outdated, obsolete, and invalidated.

That option. so basically add a good story to minecraft :p
But seriously, graphics can in no way make a game. They can enhance a game(see Crysis) but they don't make a good game.

2. Could care less about bad graphics, stupidest thing to whine over. But if the game play is bad a long with the story I kinda just fall out of it.

Option 2... That is not to say that graphics mean nothing. They are a great way to immerse you and enhance the story and gameplay experience.

But what is the point if you are sacrificing 1 of the other 2?

I wouldn't say I missed it. I was bored so it could have been the best world ever but if I didn't enjoy it why bother?

3. Definitely. I rarely care for the story.

Gameplay is absolutely the most important factor in a game. And good graphics, well, they aren't mandatory but oh boy do they look nice.

numero uno all the way
Dragon Age Origins is one of my favorite games

Category 2 is my second choice I could live with Tales of the Abyss

Category 3 can suck it though I'm not getting stuck with Call of Duty

DA:O is one of my favorite games as well, but it's because of the brilliant gameplay. These things are rather subjective.

a lot of the combat revolves around not getting stunlocked.

That never stopped me from enjoying it

Between a game with

1)Bad gameplay,good graphics/story
2)Bad Graphics,good Story/gameplay
3)Bad Story,good Gameplay/Graphics

Which one would you choose?

Me i would choose the 3 because i don't care too much for the story in a game
I can figure what bad gameplay is, and can guess at bad story, but what exactly is bad graphics? post a example? Cause im looking at either 2 or 3.

Take, for example, my personal favourite game of last year; Nier. Everyone hated those graphics yet it didn't bother me at all.
I agree, that was a great game, kind of felt like Shadow of the Colossus to me.
I didn't even notice if there was any bad graphics because I was too enthralled in the story and the feel of the characters.
Bad graphics do not make a game unplayable, it can be difficult but in the end, it is the story of the game or the gameplay itself that keeps you coming back to it.
