I'd make it more appealing to the masses. The songs on World Tour didn't exactly inspire me. I think there should be an underlying tone of Metal and rock, but popular metal and rock and then have some chart pop stuff, seeing as Guitar Hero is not only just for the hardcore fans, it's also a gimmick which appeals to many.

This, but without pop stuff. It should really be about the Guitar. I'm seeing crap like Elton John on Greatest hits? (or is it GH 5? Im not sure what one) Now, my knowledge of EJ isnt great but I swear he doesnt play the guitar lol...

I meant like indie, seeing as indie is pretty much the new pop. Let's not forget what pop stands for folks.

If I made the next Guitar Hero, I would kill myself...
I would love to make the next Rock Band, however, and add:
-Better, customizable, sound effects for the pickup switch (and have them on whenever you want)
-Music Creator + vocals recording.
-Use Natal to re-create your on-screen avatar to do exactly like you are doing. So if you are shredding on your back, so is your avatar.
-Heat/Pressure sensitive frets, instead of buttons, for the game to detect where your finger is pressing, and how hard. This would allow for you to bend/vibrato notes in addition to whammy.
-Volume and Tone knobs on the guitar, that you can screw around with while you're playing.
-As for the tracks, I would try to put a lot more new, lighter rock, like Hinder, and Linkin Park, because all of the metal songs suck so play vocals, and I think that's the reason everyone hates vocals. I love singing on rock band for all of the songs that aren't just yelling really loud so that nobody can understand you.

If i HAD to re-create guitar hero, however, I would make the slide bar down where the normal buttons are and just use them all the time, that way some songs would force you to slide with 1 finger in between playing normal notes (freebird), and you wouldn't have to move your hand up and down the guitar like your jerking it off.

I'd ditch the plastic guitar and use some sort of device that picks up the frequency of vibrations from an actual guitar string.
Difficulty could be adjusted from playing simple scales and chords to go with the melody to actually playing the guitar line in it's entirety.
I'd get sponsorship deals with actual guitar manufacturers and heighten the chances of good music being made again.

Here's some actual gameplay innovations I'd like to see:

1. Vocal harmonizing
2. Ability to save a failing teammate
3. Make the neck slider count as valid inputs for hammer-ons / pull-offs
4. Re-chart 4-drum tracks (Rock Band compatibility) so that the crash cymbal is green, not blue
5. Contextual menu when selecting a song in playlist mode - "Play all by this artist, this year, this genre, etc"
6. Add support for the Rock Band cymbal add-on
7. Instant unlock with achievements disabled
8. Simple audio effects for Star Power added in the custom guitar menu (one-upping Rock Band)
9. Improved support for Creator mode that allows vocals and longer songs, along with a copyright violation reporting feature
10. Vastly improved score reward for drum / vocal fills
11. Improved recognition for vocal solos

I think you should go work on guitar hero 5, cause I want all of that stuff included.

Since we're already playing on a plastic guitar pretending to be a rockstar why not include plastic groupies so we could pretend to be a rockstar when you've completed a set as well?

Guitar Hero: Rock, Ska, Reggae

the rock would focus on 60's/70's rock (Focus, the Who, Hendrix)
as well as ska and reggae from all over

I guess the reggae songs would be in the "easy" section, then ska as medium, and finally the rock as hard, (solo from "Hocus Pocus" yesyesyesyesyes)

may not be too hard as a whole, but it would be good.

The next Guitar Hero would be like any other Guitar Hero, except that after each gig your character would go backstage and there would be diffrent minigames like trying to escape from your groupies, drowning your stress with alchol or getting in a fight with your mananger.
