I would make a game about a dog in feudal Japan who collects spells cast by painting funny shapes with a magical brush.

Now this is interesting.
That could actually work.

It could even be good.

Going by the fact that Chinatown Wars is probably the best game (for gamers) on the DS so far, I think it would give the people like me who have been complaining about the lack of good hardcore (not "core" as in franchise) games. At this point there are a few mature games on the Wii but they're all crap like No More Heroes and Dead Rising: games that anyone with a ps3 or 360 would play thinking it's the alfa build and not a finished product.
So far one of my favorite games on the Wii is R*'s Bully.
So yes it could work, in that R* would certainly bring an engrossing, fully realized (you know they would go all out like they always do), game to the console the way they did with the DS. But let's not forget, as amazing as it is, Chinatown Wars failed to sell as well as it deserved.

Chinatown Wars and GTA4 deserve to have their sales stats switched.

If I owned Nintendo, I would rename the Wii "The Revolution", start making some GAMES, improve the graphical capability of the console, at least for it to be able to play the new games, make the Wiimote OPTIONAL, not standard, change the online service, let the Wii play DvDs, and welcome BOTH REAL gamers and CASUAL gamers. That way, neither can feel left out of the mix.

In a way, yes. However, free online service, functionality and, honestly, diversity/creativity (in case you couldn't tell: I hate the 360) are the differing factors. I didn't say REMOVE the Wiimote. I said make the thing optional. Make games on both sides of the fence. Or, better yet, make it like WiiPlus. Something like that.
