This just in, watching Fox news causes uncalled for violence, ignorance and stupidity from people. [/sarcasm]

I know the lawsuit about the cross statue is pretty foolish on it's own, but this is just ridiculous. I thought the ignorance and hatred people posted when Japan won the world soccer cup was bad. Can't you be sued for saying crap like that? Those are fucking death threats to a group of people based on lack of religious belief. And this is probably just the tip of the iceburg when it comes to religious lunitics.

Since this website is full of Atheists I want to hear your thoughts on the subject.

I'm nor completely familiar with Christianity, so I may be wrong, but isn't it considered a bad thing to harbor murderous thoughts against people?

Or course, the lawsuit is silly already.

Honestly, I just dismiss it as childish. Since people aren't concerned about grammar on Facebook, those threats lack any gravitas.

i have seen many people with their favoutrite champs as their dp recently, perhaps i have started something :D (except that i will have to change mine now due to the nerf D:)
OT; lol americans. seriously though every group has its ridiculous extremists, this is no different. For every 10 of these crazy people there are 100 000 sane christians, maybe more. I have met many a sane christian that accept my lack of belief and don't try to force anything on me.

those are not true christians! or maybe they are but in that case they are sinfull christians and will, if they are right, have to answere for those sins.
Christianity promotes love, even for those who do not share your belief, because maybe if you can show others the true happiness of god then others will follow, people are not appealed to join a religion because of hate directed at them.

I have a friend who truly takes this to heart, evry time I see him he is smiling, and if you ask him why he simply answers "because I know jesus loves me", he is probably the most happy person I've ever known and the only person who have ever made me consider if religion had merit, which I then concluded it did not and I stayed atheist, or well that is at least the clostest lable known to me, since in my opinion there is no god, period, but I don't believe we have all the pieces to the puzzle yet, there are things about us and physics and the universe around us we still don't know and perhaps never will know, but I've found many atheists naive and dismissive of such things, believing as blindly in the science we have today as some christians believe in god. science once claimed everything was made out of the five elements but with a varying precentage of each element form object to object... which was kind of wrong... just a thought.

After witnessing whats happened in Shitain over the last few days, and the facebook posts over the Japan disasters and winning the world cup, all I can say is that there are certain people out there that are complete tossers. Its plain and simple really.

I love religious people.

"God loves you .... and if you don't agree i'm going to shoot you in the face".

Fething muppets.

If I did believe in god then I would have a vision of him reading that link and doing a world shattering sized facepalm.

I must get mine up on my DP as soon as I figure out who my favourite is, maybe Lux/Lee Sin/Kog'Maw. Although Kog'Maw would be one ugly display picture.

OT: The internet brings out the worst in people, try not to take any of these things as the general opinion of ANYBODY. Even though I'm not a fan of organized religion, I know that this is far even for the religious.

"No group is filled with as much hate as athiests" that comment made my day.

All religions have these types, and there are atheists who have the same silly attitude. Really though, you've narrowed it down to people who watch Fox News with a straight face, what were you expecting?

As a Christian let me just say, aren't there extremists in every religion? Even Atheists?
And to answer your question yes it would be considered a sin and let me quote Daniel Tosh by saying Christianity is a religion where we can all live bad lives repent and go to heaven, I've read the cliffsnotes.

I've seen Atheists act this way about Christians and nobody usually cares. Why should this matter?

And just the other day I was wondering why Atheists seemed to hold Christians in such low regard...

Honestly, after looking into the law suit, it's not that silly. They're suing, not because there was a religious symbol in the memorial (they don't actually care about that), but because it was the only religious symbol. Again, not because no other religious symbol was asked to be put up there, but because all the other requests were denied. They're suing because NY said that only the Christian symbol should be there. They're suing for religious equality, saying that there was no reason to deny other religions

People may think it's silly to fight over that, but honestly, a fight over any kind of equality is a fight worth having. You can't create equality by deciding what is and is not a silly type of equality to pursue

Just saying

I've no idea what the law-suit is about, or what Fox news has to do with these stupid people, but this is just ridiculous, its amazing what some people actually believe when they think they believe something else, these people are not christians, that's for sure.
