A world where I have to play Modern Warfare 2 for ever because everyone thinks that it's the best game ever despite it being generic, badly made, horrible to the community etc...

Oh wait.

Actually, that doesn't sound all that terrible. Sure, Ninja Gaiden 2 would be horrifying, but getting to be Shepard in Mass Effect? Sign me up. Also, since Hell means you're already dead, you would logically get infitinte continues. And if time doesn't exist, you will eventually finish all those games and then you can play whatever you want, which sounds more like Heaven. I think you've invented gamer Purgatory.
OMG I think you're right. I've always seen it as Hell because of Silent Hill. Yes, you are dead so technically you have infinite continues and whatnot, but if you cant get thru the game for whatever reason, you're stuck there until you do. And I don't know about the rest of you but I've played a LOT of games. Just sit and think for a minute.
A lot of games it might have been, but then again, eternity is quite long you know? Besides I imagine many games to get a LOT easier, when actually "being" the protagonist, rather than piloting her - just think of all the many Games, where you couldn't take the direct route due to invisible Walls, didn't have suitable dialogue Options, or spent ages looking for the keys of a thin wooden door, while carrying a grenadelauncher and several shotguns.

I have reached gamer hell. It's where you realise you own plenty of cool games, you have plenty of time to play them and no reason not to... except you've become so jaded and cynical and, dare I say it, old, that games just no longer hold any interest for you, and you can't find the motivation to play them.
This is scary,I hope it doesn't happen to me.

Also My Gamer Hell Would be where all the games I have ever loved and would eventually love if I didn't die were broken and insulted and just plain out trashed completely, then everything went back to normal just for it to start over again, then this repeats getting worse each time though.

Animal Crossing or The Sims2-3. I like the games, but playing them forever would be horrible!

There is one map. You spawn in the middle. There are giant walls all around you. There are snipers with aimbots who have no problem spawncamping on the walls. There is no spawn protection, no score limit, no time limit, and no cover anywhere. And you have no guns. Oh, and the snipers are all being played by five-year-olds with headsets.

we would all be forced to be NPC's in an MMORPG
I...
I did something like this once.
I stood in one spot for about two hours and told anyone that approached me to beware the forest to the east. I was wearing an NPC hat too...
It was... boring yet satisfying in a way.

I would be told that I could play Duke Nukem Forever if I could beat all of SFIV's character challenges with an old, low-battery, 360 controller.

They would make me play a game with a cliffhanger that won't ever have a sequel though they clearly hint at it.

No, they will wave that sequel in my face and say I can't play it ever.

Like Bioshock 2, ;_;

Uwe Boll would tie you to a chair and explain all the plots from his films (The House of the dead, Alone in the dark, etc) in excrutiating detail. Then give you a run down of other games he is going to films of, and they're all your favourite games.

I think it would be an endless series of Myst-like puzzles, that, like Myst, have absolutely no logical relationship with whatever it is I'm supposed to be doing.

I've actually given this some thought as I've kinda taken Gaming as a religion anyway. Here's how I see it working:

In Gamer's Hell you must live thru EVERY game you've ever played for more than 5 minutes. Demos don't count. "Played" is defined as actually playing the game (i.e. moving the character, shooting, etc) therefore watching a 10 minute MGS intro wont count until you spend 5 mins sneaking around as Snake snapping necks (or Raiden, you get the picture).

You have all the abilities of the character you play in the game as well as all your memories from playing the game whilst you were alive. You are subject to all the rules within the game however you can perform normal abilities as you would in real life (i.e. jumping, leaning, crouching, etc.) You must successfully complete the game in order to progress to the next game. The games will be given to you in random order despite the order you may have played them in, however games in linear succession (ex. God of War 1 2 & 3) will be played from beginning to end. I've always imagined a "Wheel of Fortune" type device to determine the next game.

Games without real endings will require you to reach a certain point value (think Pacman, Galaga, Frogger, etc) before ending the game. Games with multiple characters or party members (ex. Final Fantasy) can act as they would in game or if you prefer, have the embodiment of a friend inhabit that body. This friend, if still alive, will experience the game with you as they dream. There is no time in Gamer's Hell, so several weeks in-game can pass in a single night to one of the living. You can have them stay or go as you please.

Completion of Gamer's Hell allows you to experience any game you choose whenever you like and can leave the game whenever as well. You can even have access to games not yet created at the time you died as there is no time in Gamer's Hell.

I know this doesn't sound too bad, but imagine having to not only play but LIVE thru games like Resident Evil, Fatal Frame or *shudder* Silent Hill. And it's EVERY game you've played. From PC to Console to Handheld. Scary huh?
This sounds kinda awesome, Left 4 Dead would probably be the scariest for me... and burnout cause i'd endlessly crash, Super Mario Bros would be fun cause it's all 2D-ey but yeah... It'd be awesome seeing as i couldn't really die, only respawn

If you went to Gamer hell what would your punishment be e.g. would you be forced to play a game you dislike forever?
You would be killed and resurrected by the Too Human valkyrie over and over and over and over and over again.
