main charcter bad guys plot things that make it diffrent from all the other games
mine whould tell the story of a plane crash survivor and would be about scavinging food and trying to discover the cause of the crash and contact rescuse and its set in the hymalas (i know i dont know how to spell that) the main enimes are wild animals and shell shocked survivers
so lost then
kind of but without the supernataral parts
oh so that means that without the supernatural bits your story would have enough time to make sense, without resorting to some sort of black smoke that disguises itself as a dead charicter right at the end XD.
seriously though, it sounds like a good idea, i'd play it but maybe thats just because i like epic disaster games.

how about a game set in a typical fantasy setting, but your some sort of time agent, andan evil cult is threatening the space time continuum. you would attack them useing awesome weapons like a minigun that shoots radioactive bullets. also a rocket launcher that follows a red dot site (think half life) and you would be able to call in airstrikes, nukes and orbital lasers. and the map would be extensive, like the size of the usa, europe and asia combined. and you would get around on pterydactyl. you would get vehicles like a motorbike with miniguns, a futuristic plasma bomber, a tank and other such tools of destruction. it would have the worlds most realisic destruction physics that would let you raise entire towns. and there would be npc's trying to live thre lives for you to kill. for example there could be a shit load of humand and dwarves makng afortress to keep you away and you perform bombing runs from the safety of your ptyridactyl

Someone is trying to kill you. Maybe.
Its possible that a single person may be trying to kill you, but you aren't quite sure. Or maybe someone put the wrong sort of mushrooms in your cheeseburger.
You have an open world to explore, if you want to. When you move about the world, odd things happen. Odd things that might have happened anyway. Things that could have happened to anyone, right? You can pick up objects that you find, to use as weapons, but people may ask you why you're carrying a brick around. If you can scrape up enough money, you could buy a knife, or possibly a handgun, but those items might also get you arrested. The catch is that you have to be in class - on time - every day. A class that this other person is also in. Violence is not allowed at school, so you're safe there - probably.

... crap, I've got the creepy environment. How does the player get to a resolution?
Oh, right. The player learns how to resolve all this bizarre stuff in Half-Life 2: Episode 3. I'll make it an episodic game and just never release the last part.

Actually a pretty brilliant idea, the only problem is that something like that may be annoying to code. And as I've mentioned in another thread, it would only be scary the first time. After that everyone knows what's going on, which just ruins the goal entirely. You could sort of counteract this by having even -more- possibilities, but you may have to sacrifice length. I figure have a system like this, plus some sort of random generation of enemies. Top that off with the severely limited ammo, and I think it could work. Once that system is in place, making expanded content (DLC I guess) would be kinda easy. Endless replay value! ...I like it!

Actually..maybe we could use a system like streaming levels in UDK, stream level 2.1 for player 0 and level 2.2 for player 1... I'm new at UDK >_> so in my limited scope and understanding of the engine it sounds perfect! Possibly make a pawn to match the movements and actions of the players int he opposite streamed levels. ...that's probably way to complicated but it's a start.

Now if only I could code..and texture...I could possibly make a demo! XD

You sir, have started the gears turning. >.> I must experiment!
I'm glad you like it. And that was only a small portion of the various idea's I had to torture the players. (Insert evil laugh here)
Should I start putting together a script? Haha.
Let me know how your experiments go. We'll make this happen yet.

It would be a Pirate-themed RPG based in the city I live in (Charleston, SC. Blackbeard totally beasted us). And that's as much as I'm gonna think about it.

Seriously, though, I want a Charleston-based pirate game...

An RPG about a secret society of Mages who were forced into exile thousands of years ago, but then forgotten, Passed down as stories. The group would be disguised as a Yacht Club. A new member (The main character) ends up being a special type of Hero, who slowly lets the power go to his/her head (as in go nuts). The MC involves himself in a power struggle within the society, determining whether or not they should go public again, him/her being on the side of "Lets take over the world!"

Well can i just say that me and my mate would love to see a game combining Strategy and FPS as in one guy commands 8 AI Squads where as 4 other Humans command individual squads in an Rainbow Six fashion and they either compete against AIs or Humans.
Battlefield 2 much? (in theory, anyway)
Not really if you think about it. Battlefield 2 has no Strategy Elements in the context i was talking about. And if anything in FPS mode it is closest to Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2

A fallout like open world zombie game but you can do anything from barricade a house or take over a cruise ship and live like a king, it has a story and a after story (Main story and after story to see if ya got the good ending or not), you can also drive vehicles (Boats to cars), you can customise EVERYTHING from guns to you to cars and etc...

The story will be that you are in a 20 year on going zombie end of ze world thing (cant spell the word) you know a introduction by a voice (or narriator) and then you create your character (like Fallout 3/Oblivion) then you wake up from your coma (first person here people) you walk around (tutorial) and then you leave the hospital and see a man you call to him (oh ya you has a voice to, you can choose what voice) and then he turns around and then BOOM he charges you pins you down and bites on you hard, your bleeding everywhere, but the zombie starts to GO crazy and then BOOM his head explodes and your like WTF and you go back into the hosptial and find out their is a zombie apocolypse (yay spelled it right, I hope >_>) and you go back into your room and their is a few thing you can pick up and clothes (weps too!)a and their is a note that has the adress of your house on it and it also says "YOUR THE CURE" in blood and then you leave...and then the world is yours...or at least the area which is basicly Chicago or how you spell it exept it is called Angel Fall's...

I call the game...Darkness Dawning...a game in a whole series based around the world...and its my idea so dont copy it without my permission...or not at all because if you steal it I will hunt you down....

Here be more details...
*A story where you can choose what happens and if your evil or good
* Factions (Government, rebels, Zombie faction WTF!) and more
*Fully customise everything from weps to vehicles
* HOUSES!!!
*Vehicles!!!
* OVER 150 weps and 50 hand crafable weps
*SKILLS!
*and alot more

So hay tell me if you want more ideas for this game and tell me if ya like the idea for this survival horror open world RPG...and if you be like a game company thats into this idea tell me...

Probably a Turn-based Strategy game set in the Warhammer 40k universe. Because Goddamnit, it's a Turn-Based Strategy Tabletop game. Don't fuck with a formula that works, just make it more accessible.

Large Armies. Large Maps. Your Base. Their Base. Resource Gathering? Screw that. Special Abilities? Lots and lots. Reinforcing, Line-of-Sight and Cover? Damn right. Ninja Tyranid Lictors hiding under random bushes too small to hide a rat? Bet your ass. Daemon Princes and Bloodthirster? Booyah. Grey Knights? Orks? Necrons? Tau? Bolter Bitches, I mean, Sisters of Battle? Everybody's here, and I do mean, *everybody*. Speeders, Tanks, Airstrikes and Titans? Fuckin' A. Go big or go home.

Alternatively, I'd make an open-world Elder Scrolls-ish Fantasy RPG game set in the Dragon Age world because honestly, Dragon Age 2 doesn't cut it. It was FAR too enclosed for such a lore-rich world.

Solo class-based Protagonist, wandering monsters, dungeons, named elites, dragon lairs, lots of loot, armor and weapon crafting, customized enchanting, all the good stuff.

I'd probably have a go at making my own first-person survival horror title that builds the tension slowly instead of dropping you right into the thick of things within the first two levels to give you time to actually give a crap about the character you're playing as. No cutscenes, no hidden tapes, no cliches and no pointless padding; everything happens in real time. It would be more based on atmosphere and emotions than jump-scares.

Basically you're with a group of strangers in an experiment that starts off simply by having you sit through the basic health check-ups for your mental and physical health, then you go for a little walk through the labs then told to sit down in the waiting room while the test is being prepared which should give you a chance to have some nice conversations with the other people. You're then led into the lab-proper and are introduced to the experiment that is supposed to give a better understanding of the subconscious mind by inducing a "shared dreaming experience" by actively letting everyone freely move between each others minds.

So, instead of an actual enemy, the thing you've got to be more concerned with are the people you're with as it's never entirely clear if you could really trust them and if they have your best interests at heart, and, because you don't really know them that well (depending on how much you talked to them in the waiting room, that is) you're not entirely sure if going into their minds if even a safe idea.

Environment-wise the main bulk of the game would be in the other people's minds. It's never entirely clear who's mind you're in unless you can pick up on the clues (subtle hints, like a picture on the wall of an old memory or something horrific to symbolize a tragic event in the past). The person will also be with you in their own mind and they might not realize it completely as it's always very difficult to know that you're dreaming until you wake up, so if something scares them then the environment could become hostile and there is a very real chance that they could die in their own mind (which would mean they die in real life, so you can't go back to that mind and would, instead, be flung into another one).

At times the scientists will be able to break through and you might catch a bit of their dialogue as they grow more-and-more panicked as the test starts to get out of hand. Eventually it starts to become apparent that one of the members of your group is actively using people's minds against them in order to kill them off; the problem is, who? Your goal would be to figure things out before it's too late, because if he/she gets into your mind then you better hope for some lucid dreaming so you can use own your mind against them, or you're in for one hell of a mind-fuck.

I've had an idea for a while about a game with a multiplayer element that has a horror twist.

No HUD, just a sidearm of your choice and a flashlight in pitch black. Four players on one team spawn spread out and need to regroup. The other team is an invisible enemy with only a shadow. The enemy can pass through walls and needs to decrease the other teams' sanity through certain actions before they can attack. Sanity is harder to decrease when they are together. Cooperation is encouraged for this. The human team wins by surviving for so long.

Obviously this is just a vague idea, but I've always thought it an interesting concept.

okay you are a lowly cannon fodder soldier in your army in the charge you get blown apart you then wake in a clean sterile white room in white pants and shirt a woman enters the room and lists thing that make your character IE stats past ect you sign a sheet that says you will fight 500 years of battle in basic imortality (cloned with memory chip) what it is basicly is something that the compony will be sued by most game movie and some book componys becuse i combine all the universes toghether. main enemy: there is non you are part of a orginization spanning inter galactic and interdimensional plains fighting everything in the duty of serving the greater good for all the universe and dimensions

i want a true fluid debate simulator, where outcomes have big affects on the world of the game, war, crime, politics, etc.
